I know the bass player who played for the elegant band for a while, his name is mike fiero he's 72 years old and lives in hugenot Staten island,he knew my parents when he lived in Canarsie Brooklyn as a kid.good interview Johnny P!!
How beautiful this was the segment was, and to have this great man who forged the rock and roll industry with his music to sit right next to you, I can't stop watching this,, and yes you should have your own talk show on network TV, I grew up Italian family from West Hartford and weekends visiting family at Federal Hill. You bring back so many memories just to hear your voice and the way you speak brings back every part of who I am and I'm sure you have that effect on a lot of others as well,, sincerely Gregg Savage
Interesting interview. When he talks about the bungalows , i didnt know they had that in Staten Island. We had that in Rockaway Beach. My cousins used to have one every summer right near the boardwalk. I know the record business very well. I made my first record at 13. Wrote a song & recorded it at 14 for Carlton records. Cameo Records at 15. Many rocknroll shows. Did this for my entire teen years. So sorry to hear about Vito's eye. That's a darn shame. It was interesting about the Goodfellas part too. I enjoyed this video, thank you very much.
So great to hear about the deleted scenes from Goodfellas...one of my fav movies. Vito was perfect in that scene. Some claim that he played himself but it appears it is not so because he says right here that he was supposed to be with the Gambino family as muscle in the movie scene. He never says the cut scenes changed that plot point. It would have been a little strange for him to leave his friend vulnerable and that is not explained in the movie.
Great story about the elegants by lead singer vito, wish I could go back in time to see them in the prime
