Ready for a one year owner review! How about trying some soft luggage or a top box that's more aerodynamic?

I like the black/white/red color of it. Beautiful bike.
May i ask, what you think about the wind protection ? I saw, you have the higher windshield installed.
I'm interested in this bike too. Still have my older V7 Classic from 2008. ;)

For touring the tall windshield is a must. It should really come as standard, the short one just creates too much wind vortexes around your helmet unless one is a midget of course. keep your V7, I will never get rid of mine. You can actually go faster on the V7.

@@mardizano In the meantime i did a testride on a yellow "sahara" version, and i just bought the testbike the same day(for a little less). I bought the higher windshield too, but it did not work for me at all, no matter what position in high, middle, or low position. It produced such bad wind vortexes for me on the helmet, as a little taller guy (188cm) that it was impossible for me to ride with it. I put back the smaller windshield, which i like very much now, and put it on the lowest setting. This way, the wind is shielded only for a little under the helmet, so that you have a little shielding for your body/chest, but the helmet is full in the wind. I like that very much now, cause i have 1. no vortex for the helmet, and 2. good ventilation for the helmet in the wind.
Still some protection for the body. Maybe everyone has to check out how it works for him personally.
btw: my(higher, clear) touring wind shield had a warning on it, that you have to park in some kind of direction to the sun, because otherwise it could get too hot under the clear windshield and it could damage the black dashboard behind it. That's not what i want to install on my bike. ;)
For me Moto Guzzi delivered the best solution of windshield(the smaller, smoked windshield) right from the factory in the end, what i did not expect.
I was really surprised by that.
Up to 130KM/h (around 80mph ?) i had no problems, with the helmet in the wind.
To the contrary i liked the better ventilation in the helmet, than with the bigger touring windshield.
So i think, you just have to test it for yourself, what works better for you. :)
And i really like the "Urban sidecases" (don't need a topcase) from looks and function. My flip-up helmet fits in the right case of it. Perfekt for me. :)
Have fun with your Guzzi and always good and safe riding ! :)
P.S.: I love my Guzzi ! Really my dreambike, to enjoy life on it. :)

I been interested in this bike since the pictures of the prototype, price is good but tube tires?

I've done 3800 miles on it now and not had any issues with the tyres or pressure. The knobbly Michelin Anakee's handle the roads in America very well. I reckon I'll be changing them at about 5,000 miles

@@mardizano It makes it harder to repair a screw or a nail in the tire, tubeless tires require a plug and your on the road in 10 mins...tubeless rims/tires are also lighter...
