amanda definitely had the potential to be the queen, but because she was involved in early nickelodeon and wasn't heavily involved in the golden age of nick (2004-2011ish), it's miranda and victoria who really come to mind when you think of nick

Probably only Janette can relate to the true absolute hellscape that is that man, and for that she gets princess next in line for the throne.
I liked "Taina" and the show was a hit for a couple of years but once it was cancelled, Nick acted as if it didn't exist. They stopped airing reruns of it after 2003. Even during the show's run, they would mistreat it and revoke reruns for repeats of Dan Schneider shows like "The Amanda Show" & the 2000s "All That". Vidal, during the short time her show was on the network, didn't get the attention from Nickelodeon that Miranda, Victoria or Amanda Bynes got.
It's probably Miranda who is "the Queen of Nickelodeon". "iCarly" was not only a ratings hit, Nickelodeon showed outright favoritism to it, it had daily marathons on the network (next to SpongeBob), merchandise, soundtracks, the 1st live action show on Nick to get 5 seasons and over 100 episodes, even It's own People magazine special and now a second spinoff/reboot airing on Paramount plus. Not only that, Nickelodeon aired concert specials of Miranda & had multiple "Miranda Madness" nights to air episodes of "iCarly" and "Drake & Josh". Now, if we're talking about who's the most successful female star out of Nick, it's either Keke Palmer or Ariana Grande. Both of them have been leaps and bounds ahead of the other girls from Nick, successwise.
i think it should be amanda because without her we wouldn’t have most of the icons in this video but miranda is definitely a close second because she continues to be an icon
When it comes to success post-Nickelodeon, Ariana Grande and it's not even a contest. I like Keke more but people seem to be overhyping her success, Emma Roberts had more success than her too and even Amanda Bynes during her peak.
@@Xoxo0xx0 I can't think of any hit films that Emma has starred in other than "Scream 4" & "Hotel For Dogs". Keke at least starred in "Hustlers" with Jennifer Lopez, "Joyful Noise" with Queen Latifah & Dolly Parton and Jordan Peele's "NOPE" & just hosted SNL. She's also voicing a character on that "Proud Family" reboot. Now, Ariana is a hugely successful Pop superstar, that's obvious. But Keke is pretty successful, I'd say moreso than Emma.
@@KRSonbe Scream 4, Hotel For Dogs, Nerve, Valentines Day, We're the Millers and even Wild Child grew to be a cult classic for teens and she starred in many seasons of AHS. Keke's the it girl rn as she should be but y'all acting like she's this huge star but she isn't yet. If you actually check their credits, it's not even a contest that Emma had more success in mainstream media than Keke.
@@Xoxo0xx0 her first huge hit was akeelah and the bee and she hasn’t stopped since. But def not queen of nickelodeon status. Amanda is the champ. Anyone who disagrees or says miranda is just too young to understand
Jamie Lynn Spears was okay in Zoey 101 to me, sometimes Zoey is likable when she’s being a good leader and takes a stand against things that are unfair. But I found the show to be quite biased towards her. She acts like some feminist icon, yet has a lot of moments where she was very childish. All her “revenge” on Logan were WAY too overboard, like the episode Zoey’s Tutor when Logan secretly tutors her in chemistry. They were embarrassed and agreed to not tell anybody so when Chase got suspicious, Logan said they were secretly dating, and when Chase went to Zoey, she decided to have Michael put a mouse in his pants as she and her friends gather around to eat and laugh at him. She’s a bully who’s convinced she’s nice (plus she called him an idiot and slaps him in the beginning of the episode). Her friends are all followers (especially Chase) blindly followed everything she said and put her on such a pedestal...as if she’s perfect. The show had potential to be the best Nick show, but the way they handled Zoey sometimes wasn’t good
For me, the queen is Victoria Justice 💘 She had many projects on the channel, she had so many promotion with her music and her roles... Victoria is the only one who has a show completely focused to made a musical career, Dan said in a interview that he was very impressed with her talent, and that was the reason why she has her own show
It is on record that Victorious was built around Victoria Justice. Also, VJ/Victorious discourse is so passé at this point. “Wow, a show revolving around its main character is so weird and bad” is a bad take.
One other Nickelodeon star who I think is worth mentioning, (even though she's after your time) is Breanna Yde. She had two main rolls in "The Haunted Hathaways", and "School of Rock". She had a guest appearance in "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn". She was in three specials, "Ho Ho Holiday", "Sizzling Summer Camp", and "Not So Valentine's" She was also in two live action Nickelodeon movies, "Santa Hunters", and "Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library", and voiced in an animated movie called "Albert". She also voiced Ronnie Anne in seasons 1-3 of "The Loud House" She contributed a lot for Nickelodeon. Just thought I would throw that out there.
I know she wasn’t a queen but you could’ve mentioned Ciara Bravo!!! She had a prime role in Big Time Rush & their movie, Jinxed, Swindle and had guest roles on Super Ninja & Penguins of Madagascar!! I would consider her more that Kira Koserin!
You forgot queen Christina Vidal! She was the star of Taina from 2001-2002 ⭐️ She was the first Latina to have her very own show on Nickelodeon, she sang practically all of the songs on the TV soundtrack, and it was basically the blueprint for Victorious! Christina deserves her flowers 👸🏽💐♥️
I liked "Taina" and it's star Christina Vidal, but the show was only on Nick for 2 years. Nick doesn't even recognize or mention it today and they haven't aired repeats of it in about 20 years. Vidal also never got the same attention from Nick that Miranda, Victoria, Jamie Lynn & Amanda Bynes got either.
I think it would be fair to say that there were multiple queens for different eras. Like obviously Amanda Bynes is the queen of the late 90s-early 00s, then Miranda, then Jennette. Then honestly Daniella because every time i turned on Nickelodeon during that the period, there she was. I can’t say who’s the current reigning because i don’t watch Nick anymore
Amanda is the pioneer, but Miranda Cosgrove really put the channel on the map. She was a regular on arguably the top 2 most popular Nickelodeon shows of all time
The best thing about Danielle Monet is that she can actually sing. Imagine your talent needed to sing badly? Miranda Cosgrove also mentioned how she struggled to sing badly in School of Rock, yet Danielle had to do it for multiple years, not just one movie.
I feel like Nick wanted Victoria Justice to be their "queen." Like her career was built to combat the Miley Cyrus' and Selena Gomez's of Disney Channel. I think they failed though because her character on Victorious was just kind of unlikable unfortunately (no hate tho- I think thats what made the show so good- the contrast between all the characters). Ultimately, Nick had a lot of princesses I think. So many successful and talented actresses and singers BUT none were an absolute powerhouse in the way the girls in the Disney machine were
They failed bc they didn’t handle the music aspect as well. Songs from Victorious charted on the Hot 100, but they didn’t properly push any soundtrack music as proper singles. Didn’t establish that part of identity that Disney did so well for Hillary, Miley, Selena, and Demi.
I had the exact opposite experience with Nick and Disney. Disney was all about the actresses for me, but my Nick experience was pretty much exclusively male led. Exception being The Amanda Show. Amanda Bynes really was one of the biggest stars for a time. She really did pave the way for so many others. She's the queen to me
Im just..... huh???? Amanda Bynes is hands down the Queen of Nickelodeon. She is the OG 100% Amanda walked so all the others could run. Amanda will always be the Queen of Nickelodeon 🧡
I would have been actually mad if you gave it to Arianna XD she played 1 character in 2 shows. She might've done better in her career than most else on the list.. but at Nick, she did not reach Queen levels
Aaww, love Janette McCurdy, reading her book right now, sooo good btw. However, Amanda Bynes hands down for me. She had a variety show in her name. That is Queen goals! Haha loved ur take though on all nick girls:)
I feel like this is more of a generational thing tbh. For the early 2000s and maybe the late 90s, I'd say it was Amanda Bynes. For the mid-2000s to the early 2010s, I'd say it was Miranda. For the mid-2010s, I'd probably say Victoria Justice or Jenette McCurdy. Then for the later 2010s-2020, I'd say Jojo Siwa. Idk about now though bc I honestly stopped watching Nickelodeon in 2016 or 2017.
Literally haven’t watched the video yet, just wanted to say I freaking love your nostalgic content! I’ve dreamed of starting a channel with similar themes and I am a huge fan ❤
Fun fact: Moody's Point ended up becoming a spin-off of sorts after all when they dropped the comedic tone and let the show take itself seriously. We know it as Zoey 101.
I feel like Charlotte (from Henry danger) should be mentioned, Also I think in the next video Benjamin (Played characters in haunted Hathaway + game shakers and also some movies) Edit: Amanda Bynes before my time since I was born in the late 2000’s but my brother saw that Edit 2: I never noticed she was taffy lol
@@codeblack423I agree because jace Norman (Henry in Henry danger) has a bunch of nick movies and a whole spin off show (even though he not the focus of it) I would consider that successful

Ummm Amanda Bynes of course. She paved the way for all of these actresses. Not to mention, her career with Nickelodeon even predates the original Disney Channel starlet, Hilary Duff.
What about erin sanders ??? She's not the queen of nickelodeon but I think she's an honorable mention since she's been in Zoey 101 and big tim rush aswell as probably being in the new Zoey 101 reboot movie
I think Miranda Cosgrove as the icon cause everytime I hear Nickelodeon, I think if icarly. But as for who career is currently one of the biggest and successful that’s easily recognized from being on Nick shows, probably Ariana Grande
Ariana is such an amazing artist that I barely associate her w Nickelodeon . Amanda paved the way and walked so Miranda could run!! iCarly was literally ahead of it’s time and is probably the biggest show on the channel aside from SpongeBob (imo). I don’t see how Jennette is the queen, she doesn’t have the same star power on the channel as Amanda or Miranda.
I think it's a tie between Miranda Cosgrove and Amanda Bynes.

Look I like Keke more but her only real hit before Nope was Hustlers and she didn't even have a lot of screentime.
Hands down Amanda Bynes! Her charisma and talent was another level❤️❤️
The show had potential to be the best Nick show, but the way they handled Zoey sometimes wasn’t good
For some reason I always felt like her character felt either bitchy or irritable at times, maybe cause of the times she rolls her eyes 🙄🤷🏻♂️
Jamie Lynn was completely carried by the rest of the cast
And it's getting a revival
@@patax144 that’s not true that was a scam by Jamie lynn
Bestie, I know u made a Lindsey video but could u possibly do a tier ranking of the Total Drama Island characters? Loooove that show
Amanda - Queen
Miranda - Princess
Jennette - Baroness
Victoria- Nobles Wife
Ariana - Mistress
Trina - Maiden
Keke- Diplomat
Idc It's Miranda Cosgrove, end of the conversation.
Amanda Bynes no question she was the main icon and starred in many many movies and shows. These others need to step aside
For me, the queen is Victoria Justice 💘
She had many projects on the channel, she had so many promotion with her music and her roles...
She was in three specials, "Ho Ho Holiday", "Sizzling Summer Camp", and "Not So Valentine's"
She was also in two live action Nickelodeon movies, "Santa Hunters", and "Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library", and voiced in an animated movie called "Albert". She also voiced Ronnie Anne in seasons 1-3 of "The Loud House"
She contributed a lot for Nickelodeon. Just thought I would throw that out there.
Amanda Bynes. She walked so everybody else could run.
I honestly think she sprinted so everyone else could run
I know she wasn’t a queen but you could’ve mentioned Ciara Bravo!!! She had a prime role in Big Time Rush & their movie, Jinxed, Swindle and had guest roles on Super Ninja & Penguins of Madagascar!! I would consider her more that Kira Koserin!
Ciara was never a lead on her own show tho, that disqualifies her.
@@Xoxo0xx0 i guess

Amanda for sure, anyone who says otherwise is too young
Amanda is the pioneer, but Miranda Cosgrove really put the channel on the map. She was a regular on arguably the top 2 most popular Nickelodeon shows of all time
18:05 Jeanette McCurdy’s character in Fred is called Bertha, not Trudy. Fred’s crush is named Judy though
As soon as I saw the title I stopped everything! Loving these videos!
Thank you!!
@@hugohenderson loving your videos!
The best thing about Danielle Monet is that she can actually sing. Imagine your talent needed to sing badly? Miranda Cosgrove also mentioned how she struggled to sing badly in School of Rock, yet Danielle had to do it for multiple years, not just one movie.
Miranda Cosgrove is The Queen of Nickelodeon
14:57 - 15:01 EXACTLY. I always thought Beck was so dull compared to everyone else.
@Scanned I agree. Disney rlly had their shit together 😌
Tori wasn’t as bad as people make her out to be and she still gets so much hate it’s ridiculous
@@azzz7279 Big facts!
Your acting like Miley and Selena's characters were likeable.
I might have to give this to Amanda, Miranda would be 2nd in the running
I had the exact opposite experience with Nick and Disney. Disney was all about the actresses for me, but my Nick experience was pretty much exclusively male led. Exception being The Amanda Show. Amanda Bynes really was one of the biggest stars for a time. She really did pave the way for so many others. She's the queen to me
Amanda was definitely the blueprint. Queen for sure!
Maybe Erin 2013-2016 nick is underrated and don’t get the respect it deserves (plus I grew up with most of those shows)
Cymphonique is so underrated
Im just..... huh???? Amanda Bynes is hands down the Queen of Nickelodeon. She is the OG 100%
Amanda walked so all the others could run. Amanda will always be the Queen of Nickelodeon 🧡
I wanna pay respect to Linda Ellerbee. If you know you know
I would have been actually mad if you gave it to Arianna XD she played 1 character in 2 shows.
Jeannette McCurdy also did a single called so close.
glad that Jennette got the title of queen, but in my opinion, it will always be my bea, VICTORIA JUSTICE.
Clarissa was good, and iCarly too... but neither compared to how iconic Amanda was.
Do who is the queen of ABC Family/Freeform
Omg! Genius!!
Amanda for sure my mom didn’t know much English or liked tv but till this day she still remembers the Amanda show lol
emma roberts is also a nepo baby, she's julia roberts' niece
The secret world of alex mac was legitimately good
Fun fact: Moody's Point ended up becoming a spin-off of sorts after all when they dropped the comedic tone and let the show take itself seriously. We know it as Zoey 101.
I feel like Charlotte (from Henry danger) should be mentioned, Also I think in the next video Benjamin (Played characters in haunted Hathaway + game shakers and also some movies)
Edit: Amanda Bynes before my time since I was born in the late 2000’s but my brother saw that
Edit 2: I never noticed she was taffy lol
If he does the kings and stops at 2013 he mind as well not even put out the video Cause some of the modern nick guys are some of the most successful
@@codeblack423I agree because jace Norman (Henry in Henry danger) has a bunch of nick movies and a whole spin off show (even though he not the focus of it) I would consider that successful
AMANDA IS THE QUEEN 👑
yaasss congrats for the 10k
Calling Leon Thomas "Andre Thomas" is so funny to me💕 hope Leon gets the spotlight he deserves
I respectfully accept the alternate ending. Sometimes the most obvious choice is obvious for a reason.
Where was cymphonique miller 😭
could not get more niche than a kiwi doing long form commentary on the nickelodeon sitcom universe. absolute bravo chefs kiss 🤌🏽
Would love to see a version of this from non US shows/networks
1 Amanda Bynes 2 Miranda Cosgrove 3 Victoria Justice 4 Jennette Mccurdy 5 Araina Grande
Totally agree 👍, that is the correct order
in terms if popularity, its a tie between miranda and victoria. in terms of overall impact for the channel, hand down Amanda Bynes
I *LOVE* Keke Palmer, especially in Rags but also as True Jackson!
Larissa was also on 10 things I hate about you movie. Pop culture
No mention of keke Palmer ?
Christina Vidal, Cymphonique, & Amber Frank??? 😢😢😢
tiania should have been nominated. JUSTICE FOR TIANIA
1 Amanda Bynes (for older millenials)
2 Miranda cosgrove (for youger millenials)
3 Jeanette McCurdy
4 Victoria Justice ( not my favorite)
5 Ariana Grande
idk if it’s fair to do this without taking generations into consideration like from amanda to whoever that last girl was because there’s 3 distinct generations of nick mentioned in this
Melissa was really famous back then, at least in Mexico she was, Clarissa had a lot of rating, and in Mexico Nickelodeon aired her other show Sabrina too, she is still really known in this country for her both roles
Amanda is not as famous as Melissa in Mexico, the most famous Nick stars are Miranda and Victoria, of course Ariana is huge and she always makes concerts in here, she even released spanish songs for the mexican editions of her first albums
I think as far as impact it would have to be between Amanda or Miranda or Jamie bc these 3 were hella big on nick
You should make who is the queen and king of the CW and WB
I think Miranda Cosgrove as the icon cause everytime I hear Nickelodeon, I think if icarly. But as for who career is currently one of the biggest and successful that’s easily recognized from being on Nick shows, probably Ariana Grande
Lori Beth Denberg was the queen that walked so that Amanda Bynes could run.
Amanda Bynes ran so everyone else could sprint. She laid the FOUNDATION
The answer is Miranda Crosgrove. I´m not a big Nickelodeon guy and even I know that.
Omg If Only The FANbase Award was aware...Emma Got Robbed °
emma roberts is a nepo baby too. her aunt is julia roberts
Did he really just call Victoria Justice a cockroach...?
I feel like it’s Amanda Who is the queen of nick but for me personally the first person I think of is Miranda but that’s just me
