Doodle, Awesome. This is Billy who had you in an advanced streetbike class. It is so good to see you advancing and coaching. Remember, look where you want to go and trust the motorcycle. It works in dirt as well as street. And, I am always concerned about the U-turn on the hill. I've actually dropped a bike during demonstrations on that exercise. Just pick it up and let them know that was a demo of how not to do it. I have just retired from coaching. I'm moving on to my next challenge. Sailboat racing. We were boat of the year last year and currently lead the series. Your biggest challenge remains belief in yourself. You are simply awesome. Keep it going.

You did all those U-turns with coach in the parking lot. Now you have new manuvers to practice. I remember when you was a woman that was affraid of what your coworks would say if they knew you rode motorcycle. Now look at you. You have no fear and want to teach others to ride motorcycle. YOU GO GIRL I have watched you and proud of you to keep going.

Good to see you getting for the coaching certificate! I coached at the HREC in Alpharetta, GA for more than a dozen years. Was one of the first MSF Coaches there. Had a great time coaching until about 2008, when I had to drop out because moving for work and some injuries. One thing about the beginnings in the 1990s was the lack of female coaches, so I am thrilled to see more females coaching!
Kind of freaky to see how similar the two HREC facilities are! But I think the hill at the GA facility is taller than the one in CA.
Mercedes Natvig is a fantastic coach/coach trainer and a great person in general! Jun is one of the best coach trainers around.
    Congratulations on the certificate!

Hey, cool to see Eva! I'm sure you had fun with her. Hopefully got to hear some stories about Sterling, MTC and their awesome motel. MSF is great. I paid for my son to go so he could get his endorsement and start riding. I rode out to Phoenix to meet him last Spring and we did some riding in the Tonto Nat'l Forest. He did great and the MSF training was apparent. Worth every penny. Way to go Doodle!

You're an inspirational genuine human being, Caroline. This is why I watch your videos.
    P. S. Don't be afraid or ashamed of dropping your bike. I ride in winter in the streets of my town (for work) and I drop my bike regularly. By making mistakes we test our limits and the limits of the motorcycle, and we learn from the experience and we become better riders. Although I've never done it (except for a few short unpaved streets in my town) I imagine off-roading is a similar riding to winter in that it has poorer traction. Seeing your patience and dedication to teach proper basic techniques, I'd love to be your student! Good luck! And congratulations on becoming an instructor!

I love this for you Caroline. I love how you love learning everything about motorcycling and you don't let any ... shortcomings hold you back. You have an indomitable will in this area and that bodes very well for you in your quest to master every single aspect of motorcycling.
It's great watching your development, not just as a motorcyclist, but also as a human. You used to be so concerned about what people would think of you and now you're out there "doing the thing" as Amanda would say with nary a care about what people think.
For the most part, as long as you're not hurting anybody, it doesn't matter what others think. That's my cheap life coach tip for the day.
    Great job.

I still remember my first riding lesson, my friend was the same age as me, only thing, he showed me was tap down on the shifter ease out the clutch pull in the clutch to stop, 11 years old, then learning to ride on the street, cops with ticket books, teaching me to slow down, dirt riding just seemed like a natural thing to do, motorcycles have come a long way since then, had I gone racing I suppose I would have had to learn some technique, got a motorcycle license on my 16th birthday my first road bike came in milk crates, we just did it, me and my friends running down the canyon road, made me want to have a job, couldn’t afford professional mechanics learned how to do it our selves, service manuals and magazines, saving up money for parts. Loved to ride,

I recommend watching those short rider tricks videos for everyone. In the event you do go down but you and your bike maybe still in condition to ride home your may be sore or have broken a finger etc. and having those slight of stature skills and techniques can help you limp home or to a place where you can find help. Strong enough to lift your bike easily when you are in good shape on level ground with an unloaded bike isn't enough for anyone. Those tips come in handy.

I put my right foot down most of the time. But I can do either. I do right foot because I usually don't need the rear brake up to the point I come to a total stop. I pop it in neutral and my clutch hand gets a rest. Less of a deal on dirt, but on the street, it's really helpful.
Gratz on your certification. I look forward to seeing the you Coach teach young Coach.
