If you did end up collecting Ikes, I think it would be pretty cool. One neat thing about them and the Anthony dollars is that they keep tweaking the Earth 🌎 and the Bahamas and the Caribbean Islands are pretty much gone by the 1999 Anthony issue.
I am terrible at grading Ike dollars. Agree with you on an overlooked series! I have had many Ike proofs over the years. The reverse is one of my favorite eagles and of course the connection to the moon landing. Great history and great video Ontario 😎🤙🏼
Some years ago I picked up some nice Ike's in MS66 and better, just to have them. Great video- I guessed right at MS65 but no way to prove it good sir 😊😊
It looks 65-66.The 80th anniversary of D Day is coming up on June 6.From what I read, Eisenhower agonized over what would be a great loss of life and great men the night before D Day.He truly deserves to be on that coin.I like Ike👍🇺🇸
Looks like an ms 65. If it didn’t have the hit I would say an easy ms66. I agree with you about the Eisenhower dollars being overlooked. They are the last big silver dollar made. I always ask for them and half dollars when I go to the bank. I’ve accumulated quite a few over the years lol. I think I only found 1 40% silver Eisenhower in circulation tho.
Yes. All the 40% silver Eisenhower Dollars were sold to collectors. None were placed in circulation like the 40% Kennedys were. (if I am remembering correctly) That might be why you find few 40% silvers. Thanks !
@@Ontario100 yes, you are correct. The 40% Eisenhower were not made for circulation. Thank you for making a video about these. It’s definitely an overlooked and undervalued coin.
Nailed it. Yah this is a typical unc example. It’s very difficult to find anything above a 66 in this series and I think there’s only been one clad 68 graded of I recall
You may have convinced me to start put an Ike collection together...I know, coins...and you're correct that 65 has a lot of dings. Thanks Ontario!
Extra Cool! ❤️🔥🔥❤️

Thanks, my friend.
@@Ontario100 I enjoy your videos, the ones you do on your own as well as with Dan. FYI I own a very rare 1971-S Ike pattern, specimen
Thank you. Very cool on the Ike Pattern!!
Ikes are awesome. Last of the old cartwheels in size. Have 2 of the 40% a 74 and 76 Type 1.

Absolutely! Thanks so much.
My guess would be ms58
Thank you for guessing. It does have a lot of hits.
The scrape on the chin made me think barely MS. Like a 61.
I hear that. Thanks, my friend.
I agree, Ike's are under-rated. They are worth just over $10 at melt value for the 40% silver Ike's.

MS66?
I say 65

👍 Thanks, I did not know that. Hope you are well.
