I've filmed this in first person shooter style video
The slingshot is a fantastic tool for Survival and bushcraft which you can effectively hunt small game with a few basic skills.
Got my first slingshot about a week ago. I couldn't hit anything first few days. Today something clicked and I'm hitting targets left and right. This video definitely helped. Thank you!
Exactly!....I played around with at least 3 slingshots as a kid, never knowing how to aim them correctly (pre-internet), and now in the space of 3 days I can hit a 3 inch target at 20 feet 85% of the time. Way cool.

I agree im looking a new skill due to my health and this kills time ive been following the steps as per the previous vid and they have improved me slightly time and practice is key but its such an underrated hobby

for years ive been shooting high but last week i realised i was lowering my head as if rifle shooting , started to shoot head up and now im spot on

This is by far the best video I've seen on how to aim, line up the shot and release. It even shows the slight variances that happen when you move a little bit in the slow motion. Very encouraging and makes me want to get out and shoot. During this pandemic it will be a good break from staying inside. 👍🏾

Thank you. I recently pick up a slingshot for the first time since I was a kid. I was excellent then but I had forgotten how to properly shoot. Now the aggressive stray dogs will leave us alone.

Thank you for making this video. I wish You Tube had of been around back in the late 80s and 90s when I was doing archery. The same fundamentals work for either the catapult or a traditional English Longbow. I was fortunate enough to win five belt buckles from the Texas state long bowl championship. Are used to hunt small game with a catapult when I was growing up I think after watching your videos I’m getting back into it.

I am a Beginner, and this Video was really Helpfull, i will try tomorrow after Work, on a Place, where I placed a little Stone on a Branch of a Tree, and try to aim again, my first Try Today was 3 Hits of 30 Shots and I am proud of this, because that was my first try ever to shot a Slingshot^^ Thank You, i will Test it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve always used the same anchor point and adjusted the fork. Never thought of adjusting the anchor point🤯. Guess what I’m experimenting with today👍🏼

I guess you just have to find what works best for you and you enjoy most. I have just recently become interested again in slingshots. I had great fun with a hand-carved tree branch with surgical tubing bands my dad made for me some 65 yrs ago. I am 76 yrs now. I shot instinctively of course and still think that's the way I would prefer to shoot though my sling has a sight.
My mistake is getting a sling with bands almost too strong for this old man! Maybe they will loosen up some. Advice welcome.

I put a whisker biscuit on my slingshot & turned it into a pocket bow & arrow. It works great too.😂❤
If you notice he also blinks before every shot to clear his eye so it focus in on target perfectly and of course blink after cuse it's natural response to anything moving fast and making a noise near your eye.
Brilliant video this guy is a true sling shot PRO ive watched alot of he's Instructionals about catapult slingshots ammo sizes n bands and taper measurements. I also watch an English guy called gamekeeper John his slingshot designs are ace I can't be sure but I think he has one called the WASP if so then I'm intending on getting it to start my slingshot hobby....I followed EV ones advice about making my own so I found an awesome sturdy forked branch moy sure what type o wood it is but I cut it to decent size that fits my hand. I microwaved it as recommended. I didn't strip bark off I like it with bark still on I not sure if that's bad idea but it looks good. I cut grooves around on circumference abround to receive my string to attach my flat tapered band 20 to 15..….I made my own pouch which is so hard core huge pouch compared to normal pouches out of leather from old belt I owned....I followed instructions as taught for OVER the TOP set up.....whallaaah my first slingshot I made.....I was well pleased but I didn't have 8 mm sized ball ammo n didn't want steel due to tebpimd danger in close quarter ie my room...I picked up small stones n set up target cautiously to catch everything I'm old teashirts n t towels backdrops ...it is awesome o was very impressed even though I fiddled with trying to attach bands to my pouch.... I had rubbish bands I found from yoga fitness dept I'm shop on floor so quality band questionable.... I'm future I hope get green gzk bands....this was my first attempt making slingshot as adult lol.....last year I stumbled upon blow dart gun channel and I was amazed how easy it was when I copied there advice now I have about 5 blowpipes various calibers n various darts n various material pipes ...my fave is 3 ft PVC pipe I found building site no rust or inner seam my ammo 2 types target rounds are bar b que scewers wooden can be sharpened if blunt flies very quick m decent penetration easily take small game in emergency ie squirrel burgers lol and other ammo darts are metal carpet TAKS and I use paper from lottery ticket to form a flight cone with sticky tape that's all nothing else u be so surprised that thing penetrates n sticks deep into concrete I get good pass throughs of two orange juice cartons...
I've every color WASP Uniphoxx - because they are great! Didn't care for the "Stinger", ergonomically.

Best VID I've seen anywhere on how to aim for newbies. My boys are so fired up now to get outdoors and do some shooting.
Maybe in a future vid you could demo round bands. Big box stores typically sell round bands which is therefore what newbies typically start with.
Do you mean "tubes"? They're inaccurate (unless you are Chinese). Shoot with "flatbands", you'll do better, especially at first.
