An interesting thing they are doing with night vision is that they are making larger creatures have a worse range. From a balance perspective, I think it helps a bit, turning night from a scary prospect for smaller dinos to a time where they can breathe for the most part outside of dilos and troodons. And while it certainly won't fix the issue entirely, having apexes be more vulnerable and less threatening at night will help keep them in check.
Yeah I get what you're saying, but night time will just be less enjoyable since all you see is black and most likely not run in to anyone, leading to night being more dead than day as people will log off at night
i honestly think that the charge bite is actually fine to kill omni, cause because omnis are fast anyway, you will need to be really good to hit them with fully charged bite
Not to mention, the charge bite is going to be loud and very telegraphed due to being a charge attack. A good omni probably would be able to dodge, and a somewhat competent one should at least not get headshot. The charge attack will probably consume stamina and has relatively long end lag if it misses. If a cera hits your omni with this attack, more than likely, it's because you weren't checking your surroundings. And likewise cera shouldnt just be spamming this attack on omnis less they run out of stam. That being said, oneshotting something only slightly smaller than it seems a bit stupid, so maybe they turn down the damage to where the raptor is at like 20% of its health. Strong enough to deter, but weak for the raptor to escape.
@@singingcrow439 There's already enough shit that basically one taps us. Nevermind the terrible Server disconnect. Was horsing around as Omni Vs Stego with a friend in VC. I had 35 ping, on my screen, I was 5 feet from his head, and faked an attack and 180'd away. On his screen, I was up his ass, and he killed me.
Not to mention it was a headshot, so it would potentially not even one shot a raptor even if it hit it in most situations. This makes sense as you wouldn't want it doing 450 damage to its rivals in one hit along with all its current advantages
@@HauntingSpectre Well, omni is not supposed to tank hits, but to dogde them and it looks like that cera could rip a omni head of, so it only makes sense. Also that server thing was unfortunate
Keep in mind that the charged bite landed on the omni's head. The headshot multiplier is x1.5 so the bite has to deal at least 300 damage (about the same as teno's kick), which would bring it up to exactly 450 to one-shot the omni. It could be more than 300 but I doubt it's by much.
@@Pica_78 Even on a headshot? I guess carno's ram would have been a better comparison since I'm pretty confident it does do exactly 300 on a body shot. It one-shots omni to the head. It's hard to land it on the head but I've seen it happen often enough. Either way I think cerato one-shotting omni to the head is perfectly reasonable since carno can also do it
well yes if carno a 55km dino can charge at that speed and one shot a utah to the head.i think cera shoulnt have a speed penalty whilst charging up the *charged bite cera is only like 38km and having 25-30% of that being slower while charging up the bite it would be very hard to get any real value so of anything i think they should actually buff cerato by getting rid of the speed penalty and maybe reduce the time it takes to reach full charge
@@tt.60fps59 Nah, because you want it to be more of a deterrent than an actual killing mechanic. Think of the philosophy behind Cerato, it's designed to steal food, push you away from the corpses not hunt you down and make more corpses. But if you choose to fight it, you may as well die. The Cerato having a charged bite is to say "Back off or die" not "Come Here!" Like the Carno charge.
Why wouldn’t cerato be allowed to one shot omnis? Carnos are quite a big larger with much larger jaws and a far stronger bite. I don’t see this as unfair. Like has been established, the isle isn’t a fighting game like street fighter. Omni isn’t supposed to be able to 1v1 everything. And the fact the attack is a charged attack which requires timing and skill to land in the first place, I can’t see how it would be OP.
I'd say it's OK. I think you could compare it with a pachy. When I'm fighting a pachy as omni, I just dodge when it tries to hit me, so maybe ceratos charged bite will be similar.

Cera probably won't be able to use a charged bite while moving. At least not while moving too fast. Likely being more defensive in practicality than offensive and, combined with high bleed resistance, making it so Omniraptor murk squads have a much harder time getting it to budge. Pretty much the ultimate "I dare you" to the rampant Omniraptor megapacks. Omni players just gotta know how to pick their fights. I like it. Even as a Raptors #1 guy I always saw the Cerato as a stubborn, grumpy, and temperamental brute that should 100% be a nightmare for raptors.
Let’s just hope that the hitbox isn’t broken, like for carno. I’m assuming that cera’s turning radius will be quicker, since it will be slow af anyways. Raptors should always be able to dodge the charged bite if they are smart enough.
@@Misto_deVito6009 player cap is due to server bandwidth and ue5 is mostly graphical improvements (lumen and nanite are both graphical improvements). Don't confuse the two, yes it can "work better" but that doesn't automatically remove the net code issues. Exactly, unlike Omni, Ceratosaurus can't say "Hell Naw" and flee from it's threats. I bet even those fast yet large Deinos are going to be able to catch up to it and pose a threat. So it only makes sense they'd be unviable for hunting but brawling is their strong suit. And it's about time too that Carnivores have a toughy. So many mix packers utilizing Herbivores because they're murder machines.
5:03 I haven't seen anyone talking about it but Omni and tenonto's night vision range is exactly the same. you can tell by the two little trees on the left, intact all the pics were taken in exactly the same spot and you can see the exact two little trees in dryos pic. so it's not a matter of carnivores having worse night vision. And carno has the worse of the bunch is because carno was always intended to be a daytime hunter so it makes sense while Omni can do both, imagine Omni's night vision as the middle ground and when dilo and troodon get added they'll be the ones with the longer range because they're specifically nighttime hunters
Just some ideas. Some smaller creatures should be able to go into hiding places where larger can't enter. A introduction of burrows around spawn points and ideal nesting areas together with a sleep mechanic might help. Smaller creatures often build nests in places that are hard or impossible to reach by predators. And they will often flee back into the nest when in danger. Giving these burrows 3 or or 4 exits will give predators the chance to camp these exits, but still give an opportunity to escape on the other side. Making it a transitional space. Making for a tense moment every time you enter and leave. And a sleep mechanic might give the day and night cycle more meaning. An ability for some adults creatures to pick up and carry their young around might also help to make game play more diverse. And it will give players more to do. Animals do more than just eating and drinking. Sleeping, building nests, finding a suitable mate, reproduce, and care for young are just as important in the circle of life. A genetic heritage system might also be interesting to introduce. Allowing creatures to up-breed themselves by looking for a mate with superior genetics and not directly related. Giving their offspring a small buff when successful, or a de-buff in case of inbreeding. Making it somewhat like a dating simulator. Improving the genetics and buffs slightly with every successful generation. This encourages species to seek out their own kind, interact and work together towards a common long term goal. And it will give the nesting area more importance. It might even be worth it for players to sacrifice themselves to protect their offspring, or take risks to get food for their offspring who are dependent on their parents successful hunt. It also encourages the forming of clans within one species, creating a stronger community. Create a situation where the clans of natural pack animals who have bred a 6th generation, have a larger speed, damage, etc buff than the ones who spawn in fresh solo without being nested in by a player with improved genetics. This will also give players more to do when the server is almost empty. It might even be an ideal moment to get into breeding when less predators or competition is around.

Well given the fact that omni gets slapped by nearly every Dino in game right now I’d suspect cerato who’s naturally resistant to omnis is gunna be another Dino omni will smile and wave at from a safe distance.
Omni will have more prey coming in time, with Beip, Troodon, Herra, and maybe even Gali. I suspect the other smaller tier dinosaurs at full growth as well, but even the larger ones show in their concept art that survival while young is a struggle. I bet Raptors will be one of the ones to benefit the most in the dense jungles than out in the open.
i think that considering the differences between cera and utah its fair, utahs sould not try to confront a cera since ife bigger and very much stronger unless they have a big pack, also considering that this one was an head shot im quite sure that utahs will just need to keep their distance and use the pounces without approccing it too much, its like with the deinos plus a body bite may not 1 shot the utah, wich would make it a bit more fair, at this point is like putting 1 dryo against 1 raptor
Also the only players that can safely nest are ptera a steg players. Everyone else will either be nested in as a free food source or will be unable to nest without someone bigger coming in and killing you.
Cera being able to oneshot a omni with being as slow as cera is especially with a fully charged bite having a speed penalty on top of that is actually not good i think he should actually receive some buffs,When are u ever gonna see a good omni get oneshot by that thing .Carno can literally one tap omni with his charge going at 55.5km with little to no counter play especially after the carnos buffs
I wanna see how Ceratosaurus holds up against Mix packers using Herbivores to decimate other Carnivores, we all have seen the Carno and Steggo packs, so we need something that can fight back.
last time i tried to play this game my pc was about to explode, (like shit literaly ate all my RAM and didnt stop there) so i do truly hope there will be some change to how it runs
Also the charged bite lends to tanky carnivore in my opinion. You charge bite up and stand waiting for something to come at you to attempt a bite. Most likely smaller carnis will just do what they always do, team up and attack after a bite has been baited out.
I see this update as a make-it-or-break-it for a lot of people. It's been a year and a half since we got new playables and people are desperate to see good content added to the game.
The update is great but the only thing am mad about is they are focused on more stuff like diablo the gateway i just want them to focus on 6.5 then 7 not focus on update 7 then 6.5 they will be more effective if they do that
I'm going to assume you haven't been following the isle for very long. It has been their time-honored policy to never release ETAs. The only times they've done so it's been within, like, 24 hours.
I feel like I’m so late to be asking this but, since when were Utahraptors in the Isle changed to Omniraptors? Why make that change? And is Omniraptor even a real species of Dromaeosaurid? I don’t recall that being a real Dromaeosaurid that actually once existed.
It is not, since the old Utah design has no real excuse for existing anymore when every other animal in the game looks at least somewhat more accurate, the devs decided to add a more accurate utahraptor. However, since they want to keep that Jurassic Park raptor nostalgiabait, they just renamed the old thing and keep it around.
I don't think that would be too op because the charged bite is an ability that needs timing to land on an enemy. Also the target on this video does not move at all but in a real game experience everything is moving so you need to be good in timing to land a hit on your opponent. Also Cerato is not as fast as a Carno but they do play a different niche. Cerato will more or less a resilient scavenger with bacteria bite while Carno is a charge bull. Omnis on the other hand need timing, coordination and skills. Once the engine update done possible the performance and fps levels would be much better. The lag side is server dependant and most of the hitboxes in many mmo game or just online games are messed because the game needs to calculate this too while in a single player game there is no extra calculation and the game can go seamless. The more realistic would be the only direct hit when the target is the body and only count the hits not when you few meter away from the opponents head but it is partly a server side issue. If the ping levels could be kept around 40-50 then you would see more correct fights. For me the ping is not an issue or not that a big one because my internet connection is great, only issues is the vegetation and that often drops my fps below 30 which is funny because my pc is not that old one. Other issue is I cannot change the preferences somehow in the game so I cannot change from epic for say to high or medium. Troodons are smaller than the omni raptors but they do the same except they are smaller and have venom but also need a good coordination and an almost ideal connection from each party to be efficient. Beipi and Galli possibly will be more popular picks and for them it will be less of an issue to fight. Dryo and Hypsi needs more love and helpful touch because neither are fighter basically just prey animals and the advantage of them they can run and jump. Dryo needs the burrow ability back and be able to make small caves with multiple holes so they could get away from predators and Hypsi either a burrow ability or climbing so they could also jump/climb to higher altitudes to avoid predators. Hypsis while cute and I love them they are very visible to predators unless they are in the grass. The feathers and color variations are disavantage compared to Dryo which can take a camo of a bush with a competent player with coloring abilities.
I hope we see this update this year, but with playtesting and moving to UE5 Im not sure that will happen. On another note, XZaguer looks like you might break the 10k sub mark this year 😀wonder what will happen first
Do you people learn nothing? This is the same thing they do every time. They will probably only add half of the promised features and tell their fans “you shouldn’t expect so much”. Has everyone just forgotten how much these developers lie?

Well, as an omni main, I'd say its very weak. A small buff wouldn't hurt, but maybe Troodon will be better.
Omni will have more prey coming in time, with Beip, Troodon, Herra, and maybe even Gali. I suspect the other smaller tier dinosaurs at full growth as well, but even the larger ones show in their concept art that survival while young is a struggle. I bet Raptors will be one of the ones to benefit the most in the dense jungles than out in the open.
i think that considering the differences between cera and utah its fair, utahs sould not try to confront a cera since ife bigger and very much stronger unless they have a big pack, also considering that this one was an head shot im quite sure that utahs will just need to keep their distance and use the pounces without approccing it too much, its like with the deinos
plus a body bite may not 1 shot the utah, wich would make it a bit more fair, at this point is like putting 1 dryo against 1 raptor
X Zaguer I love ur vids but I curious, when is rex coming for update 8 or 9?
Why do people not nest in the evrima?
Because by the time you nest all your nutrients are low and you will probably be ganked by the 50 carnos
Carnos suck ass, I hate them in Evrima and the dumb choices made with them. They should be so much slower to turn
Just bought the game saw a few vids a long time ago and just found the game in the shop
This month? Next month? Any news as to when?
I dont see a problem in the charge bite. If a carno hits you or a deino grabs you, you are also as good as dead... also the cerato is not as fast.
Tbf the the deino can one shot a Utah on the head so in a way bc cerato used the charged bite on the Utah’s head it did more dmg
I’m just concerned how Cera is gonna be able to survive carno
I feel like i remember cerato just 1 tapping utahs/omnis in legacy with head shots too?
Also the charged bite lends to tanky carnivore in my opinion. You charge bite up and stand waiting for something to come at you to attempt a bite. Most likely smaller carnis will just do what they always do, team up and attack after a bite has been baited out.
when is update?next month?
An exciting update ''6.5'' will it come in May? or wait another 4-5 months?
Because with this departure, 7.0Update will come in 2024.
I see this update as a make-it-or-break-it for a lot of people. It's been a year and a half since we got new playables and people are desperate to see good content added to the game.
The update is great but the only thing am mad about is they are focused on more stuff like diablo the gateway i just want them to focus on 6.5 then 7 not focus on update 7 then 6.5 they will be more effective if they do that
See, this is all really cool and I’m hyped for the devs to hand over 6.5 to us but when will it actually release?
I'm going to assume you haven't been following the isle for very long. It has been their time-honored policy to never release ETAs. The only times they've done so it's been within, like, 24 hours.
next year
Thank fucking crist! I hope it boosts performance. 0:37
They will add an utahraptor that resembles current known utahraptor
Ayo why do you have a DBZ thumbnail for a Isle video 😂
I hope we see this update this year, but with playtesting and moving to UE5 Im not sure that will happen. On another note, XZaguer looks like you might break the 10k sub mark this year 😀wonder what will happen first
Rhetorical statement
UE5 has been confirmed to be in 6.5
why is the thumb nail mui great ape goku vs jiren
yeah but the thing is, the more they promise, the less chance it will actually happen
You shouldn't be facing cerato anyway
All this effort into a dying game. They can add and fix all they want if they don't fix the community it'll just be barren a week after new dinos drop
From a realism perspective...carnivores having worse night vision is bad and should not be.
i want to buy this game once i will had money for it. Hope i can play dx 11 in UE5 because my gtx 750 is not good friends with dx 12 xd.
3 FPS here we come
Can't wait for next year
😂🤣 I'll believe it when I see it 🤣😂
Hey are you unbanned yet
the fact its still not out is hardcore.
Bro why are they brinin Path of Titans stuff? 1CALL FOR FASTER SPEED??
Immersion. They want to encourage galli players to be noisy, and they add benefits to playing the way the team envisions the animal to behave.
Its not POT stuff. Its an interesting mechanic which increases overall immersion of either galli and non galli players.

Update 7 2099
Do you people learn nothing? This is the same thing they do every time. They will probably only add half of the promised features and tell their fans “you shouldn’t expect so much”. Has everyone just forgotten how much these developers lie?
Bro your being overly negative I don’t think people can understand the isle is getting better
@@PixelBiltzlol cope
@@PixelBiltz 😂so cap
@@PixelBiltz I don't see anything better. Still no update. I couldn't give less of a shit about what they talk about because what counts to me is what they actually deliver which of right now is nothing.
Can't wait for this to be the biggest flop of 2023
Booooooooo!!!!!!
and is only still not here ;) maybe in 2 light years we might see the update :D
