Yeah, I remember when I was a pitman way back in the 70's and 80's...watching the races from the pit wall in turn one...I got more entertainment from the fans there than the races!
What about his win at Irwindale track. We saw is van coming off the freeway as the riders were being introduced (he was almost too late), but he saddled up and won every race he was in that night. I guess being amped up from being delayed worked in his favor that night.
Loved watching speedway on Prime ticket. BRUCE Penhall was my favorite but wonderful to see Billy Gray too. Go Bud!!
