I just wanna say one thing as a Spaniard who knows about this, even though Catalonia was an important centre for anarchism the truth is the backbone of the anarchist movement (specially in Barcelona) were people from less developed areas of Spain and their descent, people who mostly did not speak Catalan and probably did not have nationalistic sentiments towards the concept of Catalonia. This is not to say there were not "Catalan" (people with this ethnical identity) in the anarchist movement obviously there were, but the reason I think is important is because I think is wrong to assume the Catalan national identity with anarchism. With this I am refering that it did not happen as in the Korean Anarcho-communist Federation where the anarchist uprising was deeply involved with national sentiments.
Sad to see leftypol is effectively dead. With most of the old users that defined the community beyond gone, and the remaining "community" having degenerated into being not too unsimilar from what they once revolted against, it is unfortunate to say goodbye to this period of leftist internet history but I am thankful it was still apart of our youth regardless as opposed to the modern young "progressive" generation who has to be raised almost entirely on twitter and tiktok for their politics even if leftypol wasn't perfect either.

We need to make more stuff such as memes, art and content entirely for ourselves out of our own interest and love for what we believe in and what inspires us rather than trying to reach out to a wider audience by watering ourselves down to those who would never tolerate us for who we actually are instead of striving to win some neverending pointless, and unbeatable internet debate with others who will never, ever change their views on a social media platform made to make as much money as possible on partaking in an endless internet ego-war between different internet cults of personality who mostly care about looking good at the expense of others reputations, and which after would soon be forgotten for some other equally pointless quarrel the moment new drama happens elsewhere. If we were really serious, we would have to be entirely idealistic and uncorrupted from the other largely venal and morally bankrupt communities online and seek to be the change we want to see, creating our own communities, memes, media and culture independently from the rest of the web, while completely ignoring the rest of the social-media politics fandom along with the culture of endless toxicity and drama between creators or revolve our communities around hot-button issues that split-up our community, and to be perfectly honest, in our current online and current political environment, I just don't see that ever happening, at least not in leftypol nor other more mainstream communities like twitter, or tiktok.
