I have been working of a pond near me for years adding cover etc in a 5 acre pond. I never leave a 12” -14” bass I catch and return larger ones when the rare chance I catch one. Lots of big bluegill and I have started feeding them again. Bigger bass one day.😢

Most ponds around here you can get fish 🐠 from a Hatchy but then anyone is than allowed to fish there 🤢

I plan to have a Crappie or Yellow Perch pond strictly to catch and eat.

Then for the guys whose wives grimace at the budget because the water isn't clear, guys like us have those answers. It's amazing what happens when the wife is on board for clear waters , floral meadows, beaches and also the big fish.
