Hi Jeff, I fly the CRJ 200. The APU AVAIL light does not mean that the APU is ready o power the electrical system. It only means that the APU is available for bleed loading. Although the green AVAIL light comes on almost immediately after APU start, you still need to wait 2 mins after start up before opening the APU LCV and before tuning on the packs. This is to prevent spikes in the EGT. Great video though!
N2 is the turbine section as a whole, the turbine section is also not a compressor, the exhaust from the combustion chamber is directed onto the high and low pressure turbines which spin which in turn drives the high and low pressure compressors at the front of the engine. So the high pressure turbine drives the high pressure compressor and the low pressure turbine drives the low pressure compressor.
Nice video and nice sim. Just a few things, please dont take this as me bashing the video or the sim. With a dark flightdeck the emer lts off light should be out and it should be out when the emer lights armed. You should always run your firex test and apu fire bottle squib test before starting the apu. The parking brake advise message should be green. If you have a 3a/b caution it means the pumps inop. Its 20%n2 for starting and you should also get a green T/R advise message when there armed
@vasiberianhusky that's the thing, nobody shows trimming in their crj videos, i believe because the trimming procedure requires you to know passenger seating assignment, and nobody knows what that is.
when i cold start the plane, I have difficulty getting the PFD screen on. I set my INS switches to NAV. Even when I start the CRJ200 with engines running, all the screens will come on, but the Primary Flight Display screen will turn off after a minute
Good morning (in MSK, possible, in You country now day :) ), Jeff! Thanks for you video! Very good and right video! im have one question - it's from X-Plane 10, or no? This aircraft can operate in 10 simulator? Thank you in advance for Your answer.
You skipped over a lot on the origination flow; this is the single most important flow/checklist, as you are normalizing the aircraft configuration, as well a making sure your various warnings and detection systems are working properly with no faults. You neglected the fire detection test (warning and fail tests), squib tests, bleed air duct tests, wing overheat, anti skid test, and adg test. Also, you should make sure you have at least 22 volts to start your apu, and should conduct your hydraulics test. These tests are critical.

Those are the exact planes I work on!
good vidéo ! I built,test and fly some of them a plant 3,in Dorval,QC CDN. Cela me rappel de nombreux souvenirs ! A+

@Jordache22222 it was almost canceled many times but lucky for us they pushed through and we now have an outstanding aircraft :)

Robert you probably forgot to turn on the yaw dampners.
Yes, you get emailed a serial number when you purchase it. Everytime you install it you have to sign in with your credentials from the website, etc.

ea90744 I am also confused with this
Hey X plane. No fans come on when you turn on the battery master. They only come on when AC power is established. Still a neat sim.
I had bought me the CRJ 200 for X-Plane 10. Unfortunately want not to go the Battery Master. What can I do?
I just purchased this model and the video that JRollon has the 3D views are much better. Do you know what he uses to get those views?
great video!!
I plan to buy this! does the plane come with the checklist
is there no way to set speed and alt for each leg??
i had the same problem.i fixed it by installing windows on a partition,load x-plane9 onto it, update x-plane9,run EXE and the end
hope it helps...
@91Snyder my bad, you are correct, I was not in my most awake or focused mood that day ;)
Can you give a step by step for the FMC operation I can't work the ils route to Roanoke. It might be something I forgot

@robocong7420 Everybody has their taste, an option to switch between the "Real" and "Easy to Use" would have been nice!
Followed this. The "next page to enter waypoints" part does not work. "Next page" does nothing. Latest version of X-Plane.
As someone with a type rating in this aircraft, your operation and systems knowledge of the airplane annoys me to no end.
@vasiberianhusky
Do you trim for take off?
@ThePilotBuddy Yes it does, also comes with the takeoff data charts as well.
i just bought the plane and it says enter a serial #?
Is the fmc default with the plane?
@rddaos Yes normally I do, not shown in this video since the recording kind of screwed up a bit.
from where cai i get this game

+pilotgeorge i have seen a lot of crj200 vids,,, dont know why thet skip origination flow,, it takes just 12 minnutes in a flight school
@robocong7420 It's so that it's easier to use ;)
That APU noise makes it hard to hear you.
Mines a Lufthansa not a delta
As in he doesn't know what hes talking bout or the opposite?
