My daughter was in NICU as well when she was born at 36 weeks. She was there for a full week, so what I did in order to get my milk going was pump since day 1, every two hours i would pump milk and my milk production was amazing. Even if the baby is not latching its better to pump out the milk

I'm 37 and 1 today and can go into labor at anytime with my first. One thing I can say for sure is pregnancy brain is a thing and this is so helpful cause it reminded me of a couple things to throw in my bag that I forgot about lol. Glad you're doing better and out of the hospital and I hope your little guy is happy and healthy when he decides he wants to join the world ❤

Pop a pillow slip over the blow up ring , roll the clothes and undies into ziplock bags or packing cubes. Use see through flat make up and toiletry bags for everything, i use pencil cases or thick flight bags too and they work well, you can see everything at a glance . If you can get hold of kotex sanitary pads they are super comfy ( i am in the uk so they are cheap here) coconut oil is the best thing to use everywhere on your body and it is completely edible , adding a small amount of salt to the warm water to spray on your lady garden as it is so healing. I would stick to all black , dark grey and navy clothes and undies lol , remember to cover your shoes before putting them in the bag as you don't want germs and dirt on your stuff and the baby stuff xxx

You will need more then 4 adult underware. Honestly I just brought a whole sleeve and had my fiancé bring it in post birth. You will be changing it every time you go to the bathroom. I also liked to put the freeze pad on put tucks pads (x3) then I sprayed it was the earth mama spray. I also suggest ask to take ibuprofen (Advil) instead of Tylenol or Motrin. Advil helped me more then the others did. All the best luck mama! Can’t wait to see your beautiful baby.

My daughter was supposed to be born at a birthing center but complications during labor sent me to the hospital for the birth. I had almost nothing with me. Honestly I survived and was too exhausted to worry about any of this, just happy my baby was only in the NICU for 6 hours. Looking back I wish I had a nice robe, my face wash and moisturizer, and some slippers 😂 my son is due Sep and those three are must haves
For the depends I’d take a whole pack to the hospital. I’d used half a pack when I was in the hospital...& 3-4 packs total. Also get like 4 packs of Tucks
The Life Of Angel You used that many diapers? I packed half the pack of depends I bought, which was 5 I think, and left the other 5 home. I also packed some pads and giant underwear 😂
I got gifted those same exact pajamas in the navy blue at my baby shower last week! 😂They're sooo soft! Do you recommend any other size bag? I don't have a suitcase ready on hand, just baby boys diaper bag we got gifted but not everything is fitting

From sitting on those awful hospital beds for hours on end and then giving birth, I had terrible tail bone pain that I am STILL, one year postpartum, dealing with!!
Sorry to hear you’re still having issues with your tailbone a year postpartum! Have you gotten it checked out so that it’s not broken or chipped? It happens for some.

I’m a first time Mom 35 weeks 4 days today ! 🙂 I took a breastfeeding class and EVERYONE says your milk doesn’t come in for at least 2 to 3 days after birth. So ... if you’re exclusively breastfeeding... what does the baby eat until your milk comes in ?
Colostrum , which will be your babies first meal and is also filled with nutrition to keep the baby healthy. Im going to be a firs time mommy too lol and had that same question but ive been googling so much watching videos ETC, and this is what was said. So dont worry if the milk doesnt kick in right away, colostrum will due until your milk comes.
@Janet I just read an article on colostrum recently. It’s so good for the baby, it contains antibodies and it’s the “perfect” first meal because I think the article said your babies stomach is only like the size of an olive and it’s full of nutrients and antibodies. I was amazed!
Jasmine Roper colostrum starts producing in your breasts before baby is born. The best way to know that baby is getting something so early is to watch baby while they are latched. Make sure you have a good, comfortable, deep latch and watch baby to see that they are swallowing. Baby will he latched for a long time because it’s work learning to breastfeed. Baby will also nurse very often(not on a schedule) and that will hell ensure that baby has enough. Baby will only have 1 wet diaper the first day, 2 the next then three and so on until day 5. After that baby should have at least 4-6 wet diapers. Watching all these things will help you know that baby is getting enough
Guuuurl I can totally relate with the butt labor !! 😂 That's why when I was going into labor with my daughter I wasn't sure what was going on because it felt like I just had to take a huge poo 😭 I'm also having my second and a boy in a couple of weeks and I'm PRAYING that I feel the labor elsewhere 😭

My sister in law just had a baby and the hospital gave her an inflatable donut for her butt, so I am gonna assume they will do the same for me! I bought those nursing bras on amazon though and they are amazing! I busted one out the other day and wore and packed the other two in my hospital bag.
If you had this bag packed last week when you were going to the hospital, would you have left it in the car until you were told you're in labor, or would you have brought it into the hospital? Jasmine Roper I have debated that too but I have like creams and shampoo toothpaste and I don’t want to leave it in my car for the next 4 weeks weather and temp changes make me nervous about the products. I have it in our bedroom till then.
Jasmine Roper if I thought something was wrong yes or if I was in pain I would grab it before leaving home. But babies come when they want so I might not even be near the bag. Husband knows where it is so if he as to grab it for me it’s good.
Think I'm going to invest in a butt pillow too. Great suggestion that I never would have thought of. I've bought a cheap toothbrush and small toothpaste for my bag so don't have to think about grabbing mine from the bathroom.

Please be careful with acne creams while you're pregnant. Most of the contain salicylic acid, which is from the same plant that aspirin is from. I'm sure small amounts are fine but it might be a good idea to talk to your Dr about it ♥
Honey CynCeil thanks so much lady! Yea you definitely have to be careful with face products during pregnancy. This one has benzoyl peroxide but I cleared it by my OB. Thank goodness bc it’s the only thing that clears up my acne!
im curious to know why every youtuber giving birth has to wear makeup to have perfect social media photos when in reality its literlly not about that? Birth is natural wearing makeup and taking photos after birth isn't so neccessary ? someone please explain this to me cause i seriously dont get it. i'm due to give birth in 7 weeks and clearly would not be worrying about what i look like for photos lol.
Kayla Willey I don’t think it’s about being a UA-camr. I personally loved washing my face and putting on a little makeup after giving birth to help me feel more put together and more like “me”. Just my two cents!

It’s about feeling good and comfortable when you have a baby. It’s a vulnerable time and if putting makeup on makes you feel better then you do it. If you haven’t had a baby yet then you really can’t know how you’ll feel and shouldn’t judge others for what their coping process is.

this is great, I really need to pack mine as here in the UK they don't provide as much pp stuff and they definitely don't provide diapers for the baby

Janet Ramos colostrum. It’s like the yellow-y, creamy milk. It’s basically just the first first form of milk before your real milk comes in.

Please be careful with acne creams while you're pregnant. Most of the contain salicylic acid, which is from the same plant that aspirin is from. I'm sure small amounts are fine but it might be a good idea to talk to your Dr about it ♥
Honey CynCeil thanks so much lady! Yea you definitely have to be careful with face products during pregnancy. This one has benzoyl peroxide but I cleared it by my OB. Thank goodness bc it’s the only thing that clears up my acne!

im curious to know why every youtuber giving birth has to wear makeup to have perfect social media photos when in reality its literlly not about that? Birth is natural wearing makeup and taking photos after birth isn't so neccessary ? someone please explain this to me cause i seriously dont get it. i'm due to give birth in 7 weeks and clearly would not be worrying about what i look like for photos lol.
Kayla Willey I don’t think it’s about being a UA-camr. I personally loved washing my face and putting on a little makeup after giving birth to help me feel more put together and more like “me”. Just my two cents!

It’s about feeling good and comfortable when you have a baby. It’s a vulnerable time and if putting makeup on makes you feel better then you do it. If you haven’t had a baby yet then you really can’t know how you’ll feel and shouldn’t judge others for what their coping process is.
