IMO - that is the sneaker of the year. I didn't even know they came out but that is by far the best sneaker I've seen all year. That is a dang thing of beauty. A+ to the man who made them.
I folded and picked these up for resell and I was a bit disappointed that I had to pay resell but after watching this video and learning more about the pair, I feel much better about it. Really dope shoe, dope details and story behind it, Im glad I pulled the trigger
Something about the combo of snobby collectors harping on others for not knowing about the back story and also making these shoes super limited, so they resell for $500 each, just rubs me the wrong way. If they really wanted to make this release about the backstory and help people they'd make these a wider release and donate a portion to charity. Nothing worse than hypebeast/reseller pretending that they are doing what they doing for the good of others.
I thought you were talking about the CSC backtab so I was like “that’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?” But I didn’t see that kanji kinda logo haha and yeah, even though you’re a sneakerhead you won’t be able to know every freakin’ reference in every pair of shoes. I like the pair, I wasn’t thinking about trying to get them but they look really nice and knowing about all those references make me like them even more. That patina on the sign reference was my favorite
I was never a Jordan fan or cared about Jordans until I started buying my first pairs. Now I educate myself and learn about the history and appreciate the shoes more. Twitter/X is full of negativity.

And every sneakerhead who thinks they know everything will be stumped by why Jordan chose the specific rubber compound it did for the AJ1, the attempts by Nike to increase the lifespan of certain PU midsoles and the debate over stitch density and design accents on the AJ12/ Just enjoy the shoes!👍

I personally think that you don't have to know the story/details of the shoes you buy. If i like a shoe, i buy it. It's not that serious.
I like seeing a dope pair of sneakers which has some background I’m less familiar with and then when I get into those I also get into the story. 👌🏻
