What is your all-time favorite Christmas or winter read? 💚
There are too many for me to narrow it down. ❄️
For several years in a row, I kept rereading A Christmas Carol. Now I'm looking for a new Christmas favorite.
I love the Christmas Tree Farm mysteries. This year I also fell in love with the sweet romance called Holly Jolly Christmas (Derailed).
P.S. I recommended you to a reader who wanted to get into Cozy Mysteries. I told her you were The Queen of Cozy Mysteries!😊 Which you ARE!
I agree.
That is SO kind! 💚 Thank you Eileen.
I love The Diane Kelly series and am still shook, but I will say I adore her House flipper series as well. I love The Christmas Tree Farm series, I adore the Year round Christmas Town series by Vikki Delaney, I also love reading the Msw Winter books and just found the Cat in the Stacks Christmas book. I adore reading the Christmas offerings in all my favorite cozy series! Happy Reading Sweet Friend.
I really need to pick up her House Flipper series this next month! I really want to read the Year Round Christmas Town series too. That sounds delightful. Happy reading Sonia!!! 💚
I love the Diane Kelly series. I have the 3rd book on my TPR for this month.
Yay! I hope we both love it 💚 the series is so fun.
I liked The Book Club Hotel by Sarah Morgan so this year I got the Christmas Cottage. I also liked The Santa Suit by M K Andrews and Faking Christmas by Kerry Winfrey. 🎄📚🎄
So many amazing choices 💚Happy reading this December!!!
I listened to the murder on the orient express in 1 day. You'll love it. I want to buddy read Little Women with a friend this winter!
That's amazing! I'm so excited to read it 💚 That's an amazing idea! Little Women is peak winter cozy (in my opinion)
I completely agree the Christmas Tree farm series is the best of the best! Thanks for this great video.
I know! Those books are so much fun 💜
You have some really fun reads to choose from my friend! I also really enjoy the Year-Round Christmas series by Vicki Delany
Thank you Moira!!! I'm really excited to try the Year Round Christmas series at one point or another 💚
Hi Amy, great review and recommendations. Mary Higgins Clark alone is a favorite along with her daughter’s series but these that they wrote together for Christmas are a treasured favorite of mine. They have sadly both passed away and each Christmas I try to read at least one again from their duo. Happy Reading! Mary
I'm sad to hear her daughter passed away also. It's so special that they wrote books together though 💚 Happy reading Mary!
I didn't know her daughter had passed away. I just finished The Christmas Thief by them.
My all time favorite Christmas read is A Christmas Carol. I don't read it every year, but every few years. Murder on the Orient Express is a great one, hope you enjoy it. The Christmas Tree Farm series is my favorite Christmas series. I am impatiently waiting for my turn with the latest release from my library. I am hoping to get to A Christmas Party by Georgette Heyer - a Golden age mystery from an author I haven't tried before. Your December TBR is ambitious, but sounds fun. Happy Reading! 🎄📚
I love A Christmas Carol also! I hope you get the newest release from your library soon! (I know that feeling all too well) Thank you so much Gretchen! 💚 Happy reading!
Snow Place for Murder is my favorite of the series (there is one part I don't like and you'll know what when you read it). This is the perfect time to read it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! The Christmas Tree Farm series has ruined me for all other Christmas books. It's the perfect Christmas series for me! The cozies I'm going to read this month are You Feta Watch Out by Linda Reilly and Thrown for a Scoop by Dana Mentink. Other than that I'm mood reading. I hope you enjoy all of the books you read in December!
I'm really curious now about that one part 😬Thank you Cat! 💚 I'm so excited to read Thrown for a Scoop!!! I hope you enjoy your December reading too 💚💚💚
You’ve had such a rough time with your health. Praying you recover quickly from this ear infection. Downloaded the first in the Diane Kelly series. Looking forward to Jacqueline Frost read for Patreon. Absolutely love that group. Ginger Boston’s series is awesome. Excited about the sprints tomorrow. If you’re feeling poorly, please don’t hesitate to reschedule or cancel, we’ll all understand. Loved this video. ☃️❄️
Thank you so much! I'm not sure what it's been with my ears lately (I haven't had an ear infection since I was maybe 10, then it's suddenly been one after another this fall). I'm felling much better! I've been on antibiotics for days now and it's cleared up :) Excited for sprints tomorrow.
Little Women is my absolute ( honestly, I guess 1 of my FEW absolute favorites. I have the bk. Marmee but haven't read it yet. I grew up in Lexington Massachusetts where the American Revolutionary War started. A short drive to next town Concord, Mass. where L.M.Alcott wrote Little Women at Orchard House. I have been in there numerous times, even after we moved here and would go back to Mass. sometimes.Still gives the tours. She also sometimes lived in Boston. Her life is fascinating but sad. She had a lazy jerk of a father, who didn't think he should have to work; just philosophize. She grew up in poverty and that was why she started writing to support her family. The entire time they lived in Orchard House. Ralph Walks Emerson pain the rent. She is buried in Sleepy Hollow cemetary in Concord. The cemetary is on a hill(cramped). She is buried in a section called " Authors Ridge; next to Thoreau, Emerson. There is also a bk. called "Marilla" by same author, I think. Very good. I wouldn't consider either of these bks. Cozy Mys.; unless I misunderstood you. Some great recs I wrote down😊 Thanks Amy-girl!!🤗
Her father was definitely a unique character. I can't say I understand him. I'm all about following your dreams, but he took it to the max and left his family in extreme poverty by choice which is horrible. That is amazing that you been there numerous times! That's definitely a bucket list item for me 💚 I wouldn't consider them cozy mysteries either, but I think Marmee is a (mostly) cozy winter read 💚 Thanks for watching!!!
I love the series by Allie pleiter I have read all that series its a really good series
That's amazing! I'm so glad to hear you enjoy it. I haven't heard too much about it, but I adore the covers 💚
Thank you for introducing me to Diane Kelly. I've started reading Book 1 and I'm hooked!
Yay!!! I'm so excited you enjoy her writing 💙
Loved so many of these too and I'm thrilled that Dana Mentink's series is continuing. Yay!
Me too! 💚 I love her series so much.
I'm so sad that Diane Kelly won't be having another mountain lodge mystery. I'm excited to read Snow Place for Murder. I read Jacqueline Frost 1st Christmas Tree Farm mystery last month. I might have to try to read book 2 in the series this month.
Same! I so hope she is able to continue her series in one way or another. I hope you can get to book two! 💚 I really love the Christmas Tree Farm series.
Thanks for sharing! I wanted to read all Christmas books this month but so far it hasn't been working out lol. My current read is one though: The Merry Matchmaker by Sheila Roberts
I'm working on a Valentine's Day cozy right now, so I'm having the same issue 😂 I hope your current read is amazing! 💚
I'm reading Marmee right now!! Almost to part two.
I hope you love it 💙
Yeah unless the ending changed for the movie version, I know what happends in the Orient Express. I haven't read it but saw the film with Kenneth Branaugh(?).
Did you like the movie? I'm trying to figure out which one I should watch after I read the book 💚
I have a couple of these on my TBR this month. I will likely be picking up Snow Place For Murder next after my current read. I have Sleep In Heavenly Pizza by Mindy Quigley on my TBR. I am afraid to read it though because I love pizza so much. I'm worried it will make me hungry and I will be salivating the entire time reading it. 😆 Thanks for sharing your recommendations and TBR! 💗
Yay! I hope you love Sleep in Heavenly Pizza - I know that's hard 😂 Anything cheesy is my favorite food, so I always have a particularly rough time reading cheese-related cozies.
I am reading the Lea Wait embroidery series that you recommended. I am at the last book in the series. I hope she writes more. I love each book. Please keep recommending. I love your channel.😊
I am so glad you enjoy the series! I can't wait to read more of it. Unfortunately, Lea Wait did pass away a few years ago, so there won't be more from her.
You are inspiring me Amy Marie! I gotten so many good suggestions for books from you. I would have never read Paige Shelton and she is an excellent cosy mystery writer just like you told us. I found a series recently that you would like. It's called Julia Bird mysteries by Katie Gayle. Julia is new to the Cotwolds and gets a rejected service dog for a pet. She has a knack for finding dead bodies It is very well written and never lags.
That sounds amazing! Thank you for so much for the recommendation! I'm so glad you enjoyed Paige Shelton's work. She's one of my favorites 💜
