Thank you for your series on this! Been beating my head over it. One issue I cannot seem to fix is the stepper jittering and switching directions. Have you come across anything like that? Like it will start lasering but most of the way through just swap directions. Super weird.

Dear Sir, You are the best of all..! Can you help me build my first Mach3-based CNC? I have bought a USB-RNRMotion Card and a parallel port Breakoutboard as those were very cheap.! However I have become very concerned about the reliability of PC-based CNC Controllers after watching videos on YT. Is that that much dangerous? Some said that it may ruin the entire project caused by HF Noise from nearby VFD, Spindles, SMPs ..etc..! And people also say USB-based communication is not good.! If that is not solvable, I will not be able to run long projects with peace of mind..! Can you demystify this?....Thank you
However Some Makers do insist that Mach3 is old and proven solution and bulletproof..! I am very confused..! In India , Chinese-Made Rich-Auto Controllers are very expensive (25k INR)..! Masso is 4times expensive than those again..! The Breakoutboards I bought Costed me about 1k only..! It makes me nervous..! That since these are cheap they wont be reliable at all.!

I am planning to Build a Standard 8ft*4ft CNC Router with 3axis Operation Only.!(May be a 4th axis for the second Y).
The Reliability of USB Based and Parallel port based Mach3 Boards worries me a lot..! But I cant Afford expensive Controllers..!
I dont know whether these can be trusted for longer carving projects since those are online PC based operations.!
I dont know how important in terms of reliability is it to have a dedicated powerful Controller Card rather than having a cheap breakout board paired with PC.
Please demystify some of my doubts or do a video on this...!

I am in a south Village ,Buying Shielded cables are also expensive here..! So I have decided to use Adhesive Aluminium tape to wrap all of my wires and earth one end by soldering to the Chassie.! Will it help?
Is it true that The signal sent my mach3 board is 5.volts and hence it is less immune to Noise..! Controllers like masso will work without shielding as it is sending 24V signals.!??
I really wish if you could Please explain on Reliability and longevity of carving operations based on mach3 parallel port and usb based breakoutboards.!
And one more doubt is about using servo motors with those Mach3 breakout boards.! Some say these boards are not able to produce the frequency or power required for industrial grade servo drives. But I have seen some people playing around with servos in mach3 usb motion card.
