@@pacediver2594 Absolutely the Canadian halves would work just fine. Used the US halves only because i got both For 20.00 cnd ! and i can't take credit for the idea, saw on an old youtube channel
Great overnight ! Your Kuksa has nice colouring in the wood and your mod tent is awesome . Nice perspectives in your film to I enjoyed it watching :) Greets Martin.
Thank you so much Gerhard !! This video was a last minute deal but decided to piece something together. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment ( :
I was wondering what I was going to watch before going to sleep . Glad I clicked on youtube . How peaceful and relaxing this was . BTW that Kuksa is going to be beautiful ! Enjoyed it brother . Would love to join you one day ✌
Just watching this video had me in such a relaxing state of mind. Im headed out this Friday for a three day weekend. Can't wait!! Thank you for sharing!
That is not the government issued tent I remember. Tent poles and pegs were provided. It was shorter in height. I carried a black shower curtain for a ground cloth as it fit perfect. Being we weren't allowed fires, placing tea candles in C-ration cans plus body heat made it tolerable. Making sure to dig a little drainage ditch help ensure it stayed dry. Heating C's and water for coffee over a modified can gave out both heat and hot meal and coffee. Nothing better than a coffee and canned pound cake before bed. The worse part was forcing yourself outside the next morning. It wasn't an adventure, after 3. or 4 days it becomes a form of government sanctioned misery. Trying to take a crap in freezing wind and rain or snow is not a camping pleasantry. LOL... LOL...LOL...
Thank you so much for that info. ! There was no ground sheet that came with the tent but there were 2 poles which I just chose to use a ridge line. I can imagine how different life was when you had to stay in one of these from necessity and not choice. Thanks again for taking the time to comment ( :
I have to remind something to you not trying to be ignorant but when you wash your pots and pans please be considerate don't dump the same water back into the lake or the Water Source thank you
The pot i was washing contained wild rice(which grows in water) and dehydrated carrots... very organic. I did not use any soaps of any kind only the water from the lake and a sponge to wipe down.
I do speak in most of my video's but sometimes speak too much Lol !... i just wanted to try something new. Thanks you very much for taking the time to comment ( :

Very nice, solid setup good use of two shelter half’s ,great job
Ya all i really did was have the 2 front zippers installed...kind of like a small baker tent !. Thanks for taking the time to comment
Exactly what I was thinking a mini baker tent very Bill Mason style ,likely could make one with two Canadian shelter halves ,very ingenious
