I bought a Rival MT10 on the back of your original review and comments from Hardcore Dave. And absolutely no regrets! The build of the Rival is so much better than my Arrma 3s rigs and is taking all I can throw at it. I like it so much I also bought the Short Course varient the SC10 Pro 4 and it too is holding up beautifully too.
But yes my Rival eats body clips too.

Yeah I am impressed with the MT10. Arrma 3S quality doesn’t look too great compared
Ive got the helion avenge the rovals twin brother and have been wanting to get the pro4 chassis and driveshaft and stretch the 10MT. I got a bit of power in it and think itd do well but dont know how durable the longer chassis is. What are your thoughts on that?
@@cds1223 Hey man. The longer chassis on the SC10 isn't an issue in my opinion. So far it has been solid and I have bashed it pretty hard. So far I haven't broken anything. I also tried it with the Rival MT wheels on it and it would make a great truggy.
Its always a worry when people buy based off our reviews video in case they dont like it, hence why i like to be totally honest and transparent on everything - glad you liek the Rival as it really is one tough truck.
Need to get more TA cars as the two we have thus far are both top notch
@@HardcoreRC That’s good because it’s bad if someone is one sided and is a fanboy of just 1 make and won’t consider the contender if that makes sense :) I am quite new to rc but thanks to this channel and others similar I have quite a lot of varied brands now

I don't have the Rival, but I have the Granite. It's less durable than some of my rigs like my Typhon 6s, and even my Kaiju 6s. I really dislike the slipper clutch. I prefer the center diff vehicles like the MT10.
Yeah they really need to be adding a center diff, especially given how much its costs now, cheaper cars have a center diff so why not the Arrma 3s

Team associated for the win. Metal shocks and lights and dust cover for $330 I'm all for it. I heard the arms are weak but rpm will fix that.
Agreed, have also heard the arms are weak but we havent broken one yet, but as you say RPM will fix that

The Granite was defo bashed hard, not so much with the MT10. Let's see the MT10 bashed as hard.

Granite did take some bad hit that would have killed any car, think Callum dialed it back a little bit so that we actually had some footage 😂😂

Oh this same day Kevin fail in love with the arrma toughness
Arrma Senton is the toughest of the 3s line up. It's the only one I have left of the 3s line up standing after destroying 2 Big Rocks and a Vorteks. My 3s Typhon had required so much upgrading to keep it running it has cost more than a 6s rig.
Its the smaller wheels and bumpers , my granite lasted forever while my brcc broke alot ended up using brcc for parts as I wore out the granite
The Senton took a beating that day, the Senton is tougher due to the extra bumpers and how the body covers the wheels etc, same a the Mojave, to be fair the Granite died early due to a very very bad landing that would pretty much kill any RC, but the good news was it was only £23 to fix it

Indeed, pretty sure its due to the body covering most of the car and the bigger bumpers, bit like the Mojave on the 6s line up

My Rival eat's body clip's also . I have not broke anything on it yet . my Arrma notorious is'nt as bullet proof.
I need to find a way to stop it eating the clips, ended up buying a bag of 100 clips off ebay for £8 - I dont think i would ever take an Arrma 6s or 8s car to a concrete skate park, it wont end well 😂😂
You can add the Arrma clip tethers to it. I put them on all my rugs

Thanks, Granite is a great RC and its super tough, just had a double bad landing that would break any car, Rival is just a great price and a great RC that it pips it for us, its the price difference that is the biggest factor now £249 vs £389
That’s it is massive price difference between them if I was a new to the hobby and wanted a cheap durable rc then the MT10 is a know brainier looking forward to your next video guys keep them coming

That's funny about the body clips. I think I've only lost one on my rival due to setting it down and then forgetting where it was 🤦😁.
After that I took some rubber tube and ran braided wire through it connecting the two clips at each end and about 6inches apart. That way I have a handle to carry it with also. My vorteks has the tethers so no worries there of course.
Its not so much the losing them, they are cheap and i have a bag of 100 😂 its more that the come out after little jumps, im nore sure why either, my only guess is that the clips go in length ways rather than sideways like most other RC's this then makes them jump out as the car lands due to the change in directional forces 🤷♂️ think i may fit the proline body mount screw to it

Thanks - only Traxxas we currently have are the Xmaxx and Maxx (plus TRX4) and we did a video with those two a couple of vids ago. Do need to look at getting some more Traxxas cars as well, been looking at the E-Revo 1/16th

Yes we upgraded the shocks on the Granite as we kept bending the stock shafts 😂😂 TA Rival MT10 is such a great RC for the price

Serious question - where do you get new body clips for the Rival from?
It does like to spit them out, i just bought a bag of 100 1/10th body clips off ebay for like £7

I think the Granite took some more awkward landings . That chassis should of snapped long before it did., Rival not bad for the Money but by the look of it it’ll cost you deficit in body clips 😝 nice test
Granite did take two very hard landings that would have killed any car, and probably done a lot more damage as well, all i had to do was put a new chassis on for £23 - i have bought a bag of 100 body clips from ebay for £8 just for the Rival 😂😂

Granite did well All things considered £ £23 damage is not the end of the world .
I mean honestly there’s no saving that chassis when you land like that!! Can’t really blame the Granite for that one. Rival is definitely one 💪💪💪 rc car but I think I’d give the win to Granite but not by much. It seems to jump a little better but it’s so hard to tell when they’re not jumping off the same ramp. 👊👊👍👍
It was a tough call as the |Granite did take two real bad hits, that i doubt and car would survive. Biggest issue the with Granite now is the price difference - the rival is £249 ($323) and the Granite is £389 ($505) - they have just pushed the price of the Granite to much in the UK

The granite jumps higher than the rival so it's gonna land harder as well.

That is does, but they are fun for a change with the right cars, hence no Arrma 6s or 8s cars, only take cars that are cheap to fix and the Granite and rival are perfect for this type of bashing, would have liked the Granite to last a bit longer though 😂😂

Granite is a little bit faster out the box, we did a speed test in a prior video

It was always going to be a tough on on the cars, hence why we only took the most durable with us, IE we didn't take any Arrma 6s cars 😂😂
Callum was always going to jump it into he tree, but Mr Talbot was on hand to encourage and laugh at it getting stuck, then proceeded to get his Felony stuck 😂😂
