That was so good! “You’re giving yourself permission to be mediocre,” if all you’re basing your content on is what will be done in post-production. “You need to become better at communicating.” “Editing isn’t the magic dust.”
@21:00 livestreaming. Prioritize the replay value over the live. Case in point. Client last week did a powerful live. Had 1/3 of sign ups show up. Now we are RE engaging with the replay audience to do a 1-2-1 30 minute discussion on how this presentation impacted them…so so good. I also agree, and are speaking to my doctor clients about how important it is to have a weekly live…thanks Omar. 🎉🎉🎉
OK, I had to pick up my phone just cause if anybody’s reading these comments to wonder whether they should watch this or not there is so much game just in the first 10 minutes!! Give yourself 10 minutes. You will stay till the end and be glad you did.
26:00 Flash in the Pan is a saying that came from gold rush times. When panning for gold, you are swirling water and debree from a river in a pan. Hoping to see a glint of gold 'flash in the pan' from the sun hitting gold. But it wasn't really gold, it was just a "flash in the pan". It means the initial excitement was for nothing. Same idea when someone says "it didn't pan out". They mean they didn't find gold.
Thank you for your $47 audio/visual guide! Was worth every dime plus hundreds more! I'm currently changing up my studio setup and couldn't have done it without your frame work. It centered me to focus on the equipment I needed to upgrade to. I've shouted you out on the video I'm recording. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!
Completely agree with Amanda. The overedited content slowly became unappealing to me - I'm in my 30s as well. Interesting part is, the type of content I like is the type I'm most nervous to create. Very interesting

This was a good video. Reporting on the shift from your expertise is encouraging. I use UA-cam passively because I'm not with the shenanigans and presenting my content with all the extra animation and over editing. I hired a few social media content managers and their spin on my work just didn't align with my vision. I decided to walk away just because of that. Now that we are moving towards more genuine presentation and fostering engagement from intentional delivery of useful information and not image distractions, I'm all in. I can't wait to bring Seek ELLAvation® to the world intentionally in 2025. You just gained a new subscriber.

At about the 9 minute mark, and Omar you mentioning Amanda, and a more sophisticated audience, Hallmark popped into my head. As a man I rarely watch them, and yet I used to be surprised when my wife would be talking to her female friends and all of them love Hallmark movies! Over edited, over produced. RIP. ❤
Good question. “When are people going to want stimulating content again?” Everything is a pendulum. For stimulating content it reached the far side of the cycle and is now shifting. That being said, I think there are markets and audiences where this type of editing will continue to thrive. And for the segments being discussed on the Department, it has begun to swing the other way….hallmark.
But Gary Vee didn’t make that style. It’s the style we were told years ago to stop doing by the younger folks during the pandemic. They said only use vertical on TikTok, don’t do the landscape. And for me landscape made sense bc the captions could then be on a strong background and not possibly over stuff.

54:00 literally posted that on X. My analysis shows this has become an unfortunate trend. Doing the rounds and saying repetitive talking points. Hosts need to get more aggressive with the questions.
