The performance is worth more than the point tbh, we really needed that after the really poor games so far this season. All the talk is going to be around the penalty and Rodri being out so great to hear your breakdown and praising the lads on the pitch for stepping up.
Best we've played all season. Felt like a 22/23 performance. Isak was the only thing we were missing. Great analysis as always.

There is no doubt we have had poor performances in every game so far this season until this one. If we can keep this kind of form going forward then we will at least pick up a European place. There is a fantastic crop of teams all trying to fill these positions and i cant wait to follow the season as it plays out. Best league in the world.

Spot on, particularly about Joelinton.
Spot on in Joelinton; he really needs to do better on ball. So far Longstaff and him are the reasons for Newcastle to concede shots by the opponents. When they lost the possession, it’s very likely for Newcastle to concede.
He's got zero awareness for players around him 🤦🏼

As a Newcastle fan i dont think we have one of the best midfields in the world , be we have a solid midfield when they click and cant wait to see us play our best
I hope all the fickle fans who were saying “Howe out” after Fulham have the grace to apologise. Not many managers could have got that performance from this squad, especially with everything that has been going on off the field. He’s gone up against the best managers in the country in the last few seasons, with a weaker squad, and never been outwitted tactically. I hope he can put the political problems behind him and get the squad playing like this regularly.
No Newcastle fans have been saying Howe out.

Great analysis and commentary, i seen passion and attacking from toon today however i really think howes biggest mistake has been making bruno captain
Tripps is the captain he controls the team for example shar losing his temper after second grealish elbow and ref gave nothing tripps straight in calming him down taking him away
Bruno never does that never speaks to ref never martials team
Howe is planning for future but i dont think bruno was ready for captain and thats unbalanced the team on the pitch we lost the drive and passion at same time organisation and motivation i put that at bruno and how

There's another vital attribute Joelinton has, even over Guimaraes & Tonali. HE SCORES GOALS. Often they are vital ones too, to break a draw, or extend a one goal lead to two. He almost did it again today with a sublime left foot first touch & powerful right foot shot that hit the target & tested Ederson. McCoist picked up on it in commentary straight away.
He is that physical beast with the everlasting engine that fights & scraps to win the ball and break up opposition attacks, but he also pops up with quite a few goals himself, often at critical moments.

Please don't take this as a negative, but the female commentary space is often ridiculous, with cases like Aluko etc. You are soooooo in depth, perceptive and fair, it's through people like you that credibility will boom. I don't think you've had a single view that I've thought was outrageous, but you have had bold and deep claims. You're fantastic!!!!!!!
I really hope you don't take my point as sexist, or take offence to it - there are plenty of ridiculous male commentators too. You are the shining light in your space, though in my opinion. Keep going!!!
I completely agree i think taking gender out of it there are many mainstream media female commentators who wouldn’t have their jobs if not for gender aluko especially has been found out as inept overly confident and for some who keeps talking about being a lawyer and analytical really says outrageous comments like she was better than male players and its harder as woman player

City was always a threat. Thought NUFC had to make another step up to win, which they didn’t or couldn’t, but they contested every ball for over 98 minutes.
Haaland v Burns was highly entertaining, and BDB kept him to a single header, which went straight to Nick Pope. HWTL
Burn played Haaland well to be fair to him. One thing I do like about Haaland is he's quite happy to mix it up physically. Something sadly missing in today's football, the battle between centre half and centre forward
