I rode this on Saturday. It was the 1st upside down ride I rode. Every time it went over a bump I floated up to the restraints. During the corkscrew my head was hittting the sides like a pinball. I still thought it was really fun.

yeah, ur standing but theres sort of a bike seat on the back that u adjust according to ur height and there's a belt and anotherlock around ur arms and its pretty safe, u feel really comfortable too!
@ItalianBoy749 The ride is pretty fun but it REALLY hurts you head because it shakes a lot. I don't find it that scary, there's only on big drop and then one loop (I don't find loops scary though). You definitely should try it though just to see how you like it :)
i noticed tht on all roller coaster POVs the camera makes it seem like the largest drop is nothing but tht isnt the case when u really go on the ride :p
@ItalianBoy749 NO ONE HAS EVER DIED OR BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED AT CANADAS WONDERLAND. Sledgehammer is often down because it is the only one of its kind on earth, so spare parts in the event of a mechanical breakdown are more difficult to get.

skyrider - just hold on tight, it's a lot of fun. dont be surprised if your feet rise from the ground for about a second behemoth - best rider ever, just watch out for the first drop riptide - it's fun, but there are parts when they rotate you slowly, and it sucks good luck and have fun :D

your head gets squished between the ARM restraints. you know, the things you loop your arms into. also part underneath the head cushion is metal. not a fun ride if you're under 5'4"
@happyoldMEN they always do that errr always crouch a bit when they set the seats, their was this one time they put it too high on me my nuts were killing me?

Sure everything is cheaper, but the country is also billions of dollars in debt. Canadas wonderland has the largest variety of rollercoasters than any other park, and also has the third most (second once leviathan is built) amount of rollercoasters in it than any other park. It is a very good park that is better than most places in the states. Canada is da place to be, man.
@ItalianBoy749 ... No one has died on Sledgehammer. Despite what some people have said, someone HAS died at Wonderland, not because of ride, but because of their own stupidity. They jumped into the Mountain's waterfall pool trying to retrieve a frisbee.
@shatt246 I'm Canadian, and i've been to the states many times, and i can honestly say it's much better. The people in the states aren't as kind, but everything is cheaper, food and restaurants are better, more attractions, better weather, etc. Plus, Canada's wonderland is Canada's best amusement park, yet it can't even compare to the ones in the states. You can't just say a country is better cause you live there. The states is the place to be my man.

this coaster looks exactly like the old King Cobra at Kings Island in Cincinnati- they tore it down about 6 years ago and it upset me - lots of fun!

the stand up coaster restraints have a bicycle seat that you stand over. you can put your weight on it but that takes away from the fun

The first drop and loop on this were awesome because drops on standing coasters are great, but after that it just got painful :/

Why didn't they take this down along with King Cobra at K.I.? K.C. Closed because togo closed, so why didn't this?
you have to be able to have your feet flat on the ground on the test seat outside the ride entrance.

The back of SkyRider is like being pulled down hard with every drop. The front is like your floating when you crest a hill. I prefer the back.
i've been on all the coasters at canadas wonderland, this one was the most brutal.
the airtime hills are the best at the end.

This ride is awesome, unfortunately its on the chopping block and slated for demo to make room for another bad ass coaster in 2015.

@1352dean they are taking it down. I went 3 times this summer, in June, July and August, and all three times it was closed down

Word of Advice: DON'T hang your feet on this ride!!!! I did it on the first drop and it hurt like hell! Other than that this ride is so much fun!!!
