      I work in a rotational mold factory as a machine operator and honestly that powder won't harm you. At least ours doesnt. The only thing we worry about is the heat coming fro the oven when the oven timer cycles out so the next arm comes out of the 2nd cooling bay.

    Great video😊!! Can we get a uniform thickness distribution for around 7 mm thickness? And can rotomolding produce thick walls?
    Thanks,

    • @partgurus
      @partgurus  10 місяців тому

      While there's no definitive upper limit, walls exceeding 1 inch (25.4 mm) become increasingly challenging in rotomolding. Thicker walls take significantly longer to heat evenly throughout, extending cycle times and reducing production efficiency. Additionally, very thick walls can lead to uneven cooling and potential warping of the part.

    how to fill up the foam inside the finished product.

    • @packagingscientist9530
      @packagingscientist9530 4 роки тому

      Hi Junaid. That foam is likely a 2 part polyurethane foam. After the product body is molded, both parts of the foam are injected into a hole. When the two parts combine in the molded part, they begin to form foam, expand, and then solidify. The expansion of foam creates a lot of heat and pressure. Any small hole that isn't plugged will shoot out foam.

      Polyethylene (PE) is the most common plastic used in rotational molding due to its excellent properties for this process. It's available in various grades, including:
      Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE): Offers good flexibility and impact resistance.
      High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE): Provides higher stiffness and rigidity.
      Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE): Combines the properties of LDPE and HDPE
      Polypropylene (PP): Offers good chemical resistance and stiffness.
      Nylon: Provides high strength and toughness.
      Polycarbonate: Known for its impact resistance and heat resistance.
      Polyester: Offers good chemical resistance and dimensional stability.
