What you have made is incredible, I’ve been watching UA-cam for 10 plus years now. This idea is so fresh and I’m SO paying for nebula, simple because of this channel.
My thoughts on strategy: Head to Germany ASAP. Germany has public bike sharing (Call a Bike) across ~40 cities. It's unclear whether you can pick up a bike in one city and drop it off in another. If you can, great, that makes things easier-but if not, simply bike out into the countryside and start racking up challenges in obscure locations (this part would work in any city that has public bike sharing, not just DE). Start by biking along a major train route for 45 min so it looks like you're on the train (choose a low speed one so your speed looks conceivable; they may sniff this out). Choose a stop as far away that has no bike share and you can get there before they do on the next public transit. Stay there until the next public transit from the starting point departs. Then take off in a direction that has no public transit with your bike. Start racking up challenges, bouncing from place to place that doesn't have easy public transit opportunities in a randomized manner. You'll get a TON of points this way. Then - they know you'll have to return to the same city to return your bike. But rather than choosing the main train station or something, find an alternate departure point (e.g. intra-city bus stop, smaller train station, etc.). Get there max 5 min before your departure, fly off into the sunset. Granted, you could still be caught, BUT you have so many more options incl flights for later on based on how many pts you racked up. I don't have access to the full rules, but this seems possible based on what's been stated so far (but who knows they're pretty good about rules so it may not be possible). You would obviously have to be a very strong biker as well (I've done ~50 miles on a citi bike and it was a nightmare lol).

As indicated in later episodes, the chasers have access to cabs and rideshares while the runner does not; I suspect that for this reason, a biking runner would be an excellent opportunity for the chasers to make up distance and catch up.

I think if I was Sam in that situation I would go to Paris (5 letters) calling their bluff on following me to Calais, that would avoid the veto, give more time for challenges - both in Calais and Paris, Paris would be easy for challenges and to hide from the chasers in, and would have a wider range of options for onward travel - including high speed, maybe to Lyon, or even directly to Geneva or something. Super excited for the next ep!
Could well be Paris, as a quick look on train times shows a direct train at 12:30, only 30 mins before the Dunkirk route. All depends on the day of travel and how quickly he managed the drinking challenge Dover on a ferry would be a good call too, as it’s easy to get to London

Carl Wheezer: *We will watch your career with great interest* "un petit pain au chocolat" considering they were in Hirson when he said this, Hirson would still be "pain au chocolat" territory until you enter the Nord department where it's "petit pain au chocolat". I'm sure the departments of southwestern France as well as Quebec are furious Sam called it that instead of chocolatine. Exactly seems like a fun time! It feels more like hide and seek
I love that Sam went out of his way to find a spot under a bridge to drink his beer instead of just walking out of the shop and drinking it there ahha
Right? It's literally legal to drink in public and so he chooses to hide and drink instead. The dude bends the rules of every challenge he attempts lmao
I mean drinking a tall boy of 10% beer in front of a shop is awkward even if it's legal.
@@Jomskylark illegal to drink in public? Maybe in the land of the free but not in Europe.
@@emilwandelWhat? They said it’s legal to drink in public. Said nothing about it being illegal
"It's all right if you loose constantly, if you have fun doing it." Nice Danny Ric reference.
This is looking to be the best series of Jet Lag so far. I really like the premise, and it's a really good idea to mix up the presenting teams with the chaser and the runners. Best of luck guys!
What you have made is incredible, I’ve been watching UA-cam for 10 plus years now. This idea is so fresh and I’m SO paying for nebula, simple because of this channel.
2:08 "AH yes the classic bell to indicate it is 6:14 AM" 😂
SO convenient
The bell tower in Kalemegdan Park in Belgrade tends to go off whenever it wants, such as the very important times of 5:31 PM, 11:34 AM, and 2:58 PM.
This is such a well thought out and well edited series. Surprised this channel doesn't have more subscribers!
It’s fairly new tbf, give it time🐔✨
My thoughts on strategy:
Head to Germany ASAP.

I know I keep commenting this comment under many comments but those are some places where he can go
As indicated in later episodes, the chasers have access to cabs and rideshares while the runner does not; I suspect that for this reason, a biking runner would be an excellent opportunity for the chasers to make up distance and catch up.
To win this challenge you just need to get really good at running/biking haha
This has to be one of the most creative and entertaining videos ive seen in a while i love this omg
I really fucking love this format and it shows how public transport is in different countries while being actually really fun and interesting to watch with the challenges and its neatl edited with the map
"D.U.N.K.I.R.K That's 6 letters"
Drinking in public might be legal, but is it the best strategy?
If the goal of the game is to make good content, then that's a perfect strategy.
there is an alternative spelling, Dunkirque
@@elliotnicknamed2446 Duinkerke also right?
Dunkerque is the alternate spelling I've seen, but Dunkirk is the main English spelling afaik
@@chrisoddy8744 Dunkerque is the French spelling.
I love how you color coded the subtitles and made them right instead of letting UA-cam do it
Watching for a third time (2x on Nebula) and commenting to satisfy the YT overlords. Some of the most original content out there. I appreciate the amount of thought and planning that has gone into designing the game. It's one thing to have a crazy idea, it's another to do it... with the return of a deck of customized playing cards!
CuriosityStream+Nebula is worth the 15 bucks per year for this show alone.
It’s so amazing that fake stories can easily generate money, I wonder if I could make a genre for it or something. What do you think of Reality TV for a name? Pretty slick no?
thank you for the color coded subtitles! extremely helpful for me and im sure many other viewers.
Yess, I also wanted to point that out, thanks for good subtitles!
I love watching these older vids because of the amount of quality you can see and hear vs the new episodes, new video quality is insane in comparision
This video is actually amazing! This could be a crazy tv show

This was the first video that I ever watched from Jet Lag, I decided to come back here to see how much they’ve improved. Thanks YT algorithm.
Super excited for the next ep!
exactly what I was thinking!
Could well be Paris, as a quick look on train times shows a direct train at 12:30, only 30 mins before the Dunkirk route. All depends on the day of travel and how quickly he managed the drinking challenge
Dover on a ferry would be a good call too, as it’s easy to get to London
Ferry/train to Dover maybe?
Can they take planes?
If so moving to London, farming challenges and flying south would be smart

Adam: Do you wanna see if we can get a *k w a s o n t* or something?
Carl Wheezer: *We will watch your career with great interest*
"un petit pain au chocolat" considering they were in Hirson when he said this, Hirson would still be "pain au chocolat" territory until you enter the Nord department where it's "petit pain au chocolat". I'm sure the departments of southwestern France as well as Quebec are furious Sam called it that instead of chocolatine. Could be worse...at least Sam knew better than to call it a chocolate croissant.
After all the transport videos Sam has made, I would have thought he knew what a rail replacement bus service was
This series is so entertaining to watch, i love it. Finally bought nebula just to watch the next episode. Thank you!
Nice try Sam's burner phone
This came up in my recommended and I’m hooked because I’m a huge geography nerd. Please please keep making videos and don’t just randomly disappear in a few months because I will cry 😂
this might be the most excited I've ever been about a new series on UA-cam, this is so sick
Obligatory “If you put the whole series on Nebula so I can binge I’m sold, but you’re not selling me with just one episode.”
So glad to see the tracker come back from Crime Spree
such an underrated series watching back in 2024
Congrats on the first 1M video of this channel! So happy to see this underrated show finally getting some much deserved attention. I hope this motivates you to keep the show going 🥳
I love this show so much. It’s also fun to see how the rules change and adapt each season to fix bugs and keep things fresh.
I really like how you guys have the rules setup in a way that make it so that there's no real purpose in causing a commotion. Really helps give off the impression that this is a fun game for you guys and the audience without having to be at anyone else's expense (Well, besides you wallet's lol)
Guys, as a french, I just find awesome that you started this game in my country ^^
Between this one and the around the globe run (that made me discover your channel) I find your games awesome !!
ive been watching the jet lag backlog thinking to myself "man, this would be so much better with Caption+" and am very happy to see you've done just that :)
the color coded subtitles are a GODSEND for my HoH ass, thank you sm for not only having them in the first place (something people barely bother with these days) but making them easier to understand as well :] much appreciated
This is so much better than the previous series despite the area being limited only to 3-4 countries. I love it!
I know, European public transport is so much more interesting than stupid planes.
@@asdsdjfasdjxajiosdqw8791 It's not the type of transport but the formula of this race. There are much more interactions between the players than there were in the race around the world, that makes it much more interesting.
It's back, it's back! Wednesday is a good day for this month once again.
16:26 lesson learned, hide in the bathroom before the train departures😂
the captions being color coded really is so nice

this series is the best excuse to go on fun adventures and write it off as a business expense..anyway let's go ben and Adam!!
I didn't realise how much I loved this show before my reaction to its upload.
Dude, this is such a cool series!!!! Ugh, this looks like SUCH a fun game to play. It really scratches my "people being chased across the country" itch. :)
Sams curse card literally saved him
Would be funny if he vetoes it and gets caught anyways
Back to Lille?
Anyone else back watching after the new tag across Europe has come out?
Fun fact: at 12:29 you actually don't have to change in Courtrai: the SNCF does not tell that this train actually go to Ghent and Antwerp
Fun Fact, if you're fit enough, you can bike all the way without needing additional challenges, but that may be too extreme and no content at all
30km/h average bike speed, distance from centre to destination ~600 km, for 20h of biking total
2000 coin are 33h of bike

This is one of the best things I've seen on UA-cam in a while. It was literally so thrilling and interesting!
