  • I would like to thank each member of the community who participated in my poll last week. I, however, while realizing that all the choices listed in my poll were solid ones, went ahead and purchased a Z900RS on a whim. Well, not exactly on a whim, but it was a sudden decision.
    In the next few weeks, I will release a video in which I will try to provide a comprehensible review of the bike. Thus far I have ridden it every single day, for I am trying to get to know the bike and enjoy the lovely weather we have been having here on the East Coast.
    Thank you for stopping by 🙏. ✅ Please subscribe for updates and future videos, 👍 , 👎, or leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.
    Be well and ride safely wherever you are. Hope to see you all soon!

      Hi Serious Andy. Hahaha. I know exactly how you felt when you decided to buy it. The bike is an absolute joy! Been having fun with it and in fact lately I've been having a bit too much fun :). Thanks for your comment and be well!

      @@seriousandy6656 Hahaha. Yes, I do, which is why I am trying to learn to control it. Sometimes, though, the sound of the exhaust puts me in check. On the highway, it makes such a loud noise that it scares me a bit, even though I am not going too fast. It just seems that, at times, its bark is worse than its bite--although it can bite too. I don't know how else to explain it :) But I am being careful or trying to be. What's your secret? How do you keep it in check?

    Moto Guzzi V7 850 Special, Triumph Bonneville T100/T120, BMW R nineT, Yamaha XSR900, Royal Enfield Interceptor 650--all these bikes were on my list. I, however, while realizing that all the choices were solid ones, went ahead and purchased a Z900RS on a whim. Well, not exactly on a whim, but it was a sudden decision. The Z900RS was not even on my list!

      Haha, that makes two of us , man. I have been wondering the same about myself 😀. When it rains, they say, it pours. This year all it did was pour. But I’m back now, as well as the good weather, so all is well. My new bike-the Z900RS-is interesting. Very, very different from what I am used to. I will definitely get into trouble with it if I keep having as much fun as I have been having with it lately 😀. Will keep you posted. At the moment I am getting to know it, that’s all.

    Planning to get a used Z900RS. My pocket is not deep to change bikes every 2-3 years. Do you think this bike is a keeper and can last me 10+ years? Thanks.

    • @ReluctantBikerNYC
      @ReluctantBikerNYC  2 роки тому

      Hi K. It really depends on your character and your circumstances. 10 years sounds like a long time :). In terms of reliability, this bike stands on the shoulders of giants, so no need to worry about it. The engine is tried and true. I would highly suggest you test ride one, and then if you decide to get one, then take it from there.
      It's a gorgeous bike, but in my case, it didn't work out. I recently posted a video about it. I loved it, but got no love in return. Got rid of it.
      Whatever you decide, good luck to you!

      Hi, this is maybe my fifteenth bike , i have had Japanese bikes, italian bikes ( Guzzi and Ducati ), English bikes and I can tell you that this one gives you a lot of fun with reliability wand enough comfort. I think it is the best compromise I have bought. Of course it is not the most powerful bike, of course it is not the best handling or protection against the wind but you will not regret it. One of my friends told me if you try it you will buy it he was right ... That was 3 years ago . Regards

      Planning to get a used one later this year. There are lots of low mileage Z900RS (~4000km) that are for sale in my area. Thanks for the feedback!

    Different bikes bring out different personas.. You started out as a calm TU pragmatist, then made the case for an upscale Guzzi and all of a sudden you're riding a 100+hp z900!! I'd like to take a look at the back of your neck.. any alien bite marks? lol. Just kidding! Looking forward to hearing your latest adventures.. ride safe. 😉

      Hey John! Man, you made me laugh so hard when I read your comment 😂. Yes, I know, I no longer recognize myself. I have had a very tough year, so I definitely was not thinking of buying another bike anytime soon after having to sell my Guzzi, but I just couldn't stay away. I started thinking of getting a Triumph Bonneville or something tame and relaxing when I suddenly came upon a guy who wanted to sell his Z900RS, a bike that had been in the back of my mind since 2018 when it first came out. I was sold when my I laid my eyes on it. This thing is definitely unlike anything I have ever ridden. Will have more to say on it soon. I hope all is well with you and yours!
