I mean come on cardboard factories and no paper money yet waste space on the game board for the ipc count.. could have made the map bigger. Not only that but when he said no one told him transports didn't defend anymore I lost it. That is a funny video although I agree transports shouldn't defend or attack
transports shouldnt be able to attack at all but should be able to defend at like a 1or 2 or less or something and that does make a bit of a difference by the way as well, more so vs fighters/tanks or navy and such but what do you guys think?like even if you some what agree please!!!
I pulled a Hitler rant playing as the USSR on the PC game version today. German infantry were aiming like they were tanks or fighters while my infantry shot with blanks. But I felt redeemed after I captured Germany with just 2 surviving tanks and massacred 39 Japanese units that were defending Manchuria.
I used to play 1st edition online quite a bit and I couldn't count the amount of Axis players who would buy 8 tanks for Germany on turn 1 and then get trashed against the Russians :)
5:43 Ah, Operation Hollywood devised in Illinois while playing Germany and Japan in A&A revised, scoffed at and scorned, later embraced as "Canadian Shield". 4:40 They may have increased tank costs, but lowered bomber costs and changed AA, hence "Dark Skies" Germany bomber strategy that was mocked as well. ;) good times. Good video. In global they nerfed my Japan take Canada while USA was neutral by letting USA declare war if Japan takes Canada, preventing my German air force from landing in Canada while the US was neutral ;( good times.
+matt jones Yeah it was so satisfying when my transport would get strafed by a lone fighter then miss and the transport roll a 1. It was never a prob in my casual group but I think very good allied players could exploit the transports and win most of the time so the defense was removed, that's what I heard?
They remove the defense of 1 because it was easy for Germany to bridge from Italy to Africa and Japan from itself to Asia. A zero defense forces the axis to build a combative navy.

Transports should be able to defend against planes by like 1 or 2 to represent anti air guns, but nothing too much

matt jones Transports attack and defend with a 0 and they are removed last as casualties.
No I wish they could defend add a one only they did carry a deck gun and a few mgs I understand there role now just wishing is all
