What did you say was the strap you use for the camera? The one that comes with the camera has sharp edges it hurts my neck. Thank you for your informative review!
I like your Video here, I will buy everything that you have here. I've watched some of the other Videos on the Sony A 6000, but the Music on some of the other Videos aren't really good for early morning, they gave me an instant Headache. Thank you for the Video, its a huge help and problem solver. Good work.
Great vid, George! I just bought almost all the accessories you mentioned before I saw this video. I'm now looking to get a compact camera bag and I am considering the exact bag you showed here. Do you mind showing a photo of the bag with the camera (and whatever other accessories that would fit) in it? Just want to get an idea of how they fit for space management. Many thanks in advance!
+booyahchasha I can fit the camera with the 16-50mm lens attached, the wall charger on the side, and some spare batteries and memory cards in the front pocket. You can take a look at some review images in the amazon product site.
Thanks for the useful video-nice accessories..but you forgot to get a rear lens cap for when you remove the 16-50mm kit lens...so the back of the lens is exposed. I almost made the same mistake recently when ordering the body cap for the camera itself. Just fyi, the Sony rear lens cap for the 16-50 is... Sony ALC-R1EM Rear Lens Cap for E Mount Lenses, Black
Nice video, and nice accesories, I've bought a lens hood, but when I'm in 16mm it creates a vignette, also bought a Nikon to Sony lens adapter, very cheap, around $12 on ebay, works good with Nikon manual aperture ring lenses.
What kind of adapter did you use with the lens hood? The link you posted was for the hood that fits the 16mm and the 18-55 lenses, not the 16-50 kit lens. Did the filter thread adapter come with the lens hood or did you but it separately?
+Alberto Lavenère maybe they updated the product in the link. The one for the 16-50 comes with a metal adapter that has 49mm and 52mm filter threads. So you can use it in various lenses, as long as the hood does not block the field of view.
+Daddysports79 sometimes you don't need or want to take out your phone, open the app, connect the camera to the phone, wait for it to load and then take the photo. It is just faster and more convenient. (Depending on the situation)
I am using the Sony A6000. I use the camera when I go for tour. I shoot mainly single or group of 2-3 people. I prefer to get a clear and sharp background rather than bokeh. Any comment
Have you tried the Wasabi battery kit yet ? was it any good .. ?? I have two original sony batteries which I got for free when I bought the camera .. so was just wondering if using the 3rd party Wasabi charger will affect it in anyway.. Also how is the battery life on the wasabi battery?
In my own experience, the wasabi battery kit has been great...especially for the price. The batteries are not identical to the OEM, but for me they have been working 85-90% as good as the OEM, the convenience of the charger is great. I try to charge the OEM in-camera with the USB cable and the wasabi with their charger as the manufacturer suggest. But I've charged the OEM in the Wasabi charger several times and have not seen any problem so far.
+Daiso One depending on what you want to carry in it. I've used a cheap one I found in amazon many years ago and has served me well for small cameras, smartphones and 360° cameras. They don't make it or sell it now tough. Look for one that has lockable extensions and with ball head that will hold the weight you need
Your sound seem ... artificial. You should look into the microphone settings. Voice seems recorded and then edited which I know the case but still feels different than other videos.
¡Thanks for the feedback! Probably because of the echo in the room and I was using a shotgun mic far from me. Will look into the setrings. Thanks for watching
@@TechDocTV Why not a lavalier mic in your collar that plugs into a recording device like zoom H1n? I went with Zoom h1n with Saramonic SR-XMS2 Broadcast-Quality X/Y Stereo Lavalier and Omnidirectional Microphone. It's sitting in box now but hoping to test them out next week. I think a lavalier mic attached to shirt collar will almost ALWAYS get crisp clear voice vs. shotgun mic mounted on the camera hotshoe. Just my .02. I'm not a pro.
+Abhishek Ghosh The Hood uses the ring to screw. If your filter does come with a ring on front. Then I guess you could put the stepup ring then the hood it might work
I have another question related to ISO hoping you can help, I wonder if it's my A6000 having issue or is it in general, when you set the ISO on 640, in an indoor pretty dark environment will make the video unusable already? I set the video quality to XAVCS already, using the song 18-105 F4 with ISO 640, and there's crazy noises everywhere, but when its ISO 320, its totally fine. May I ask if there's anything wrong please?
I have used to record video indoors at iso 10,400 and 12,600 and still got a relatively usable video, even recording in MP4 or AVCHD. Does it look bad in camera after recording or until you transfer/post it?
in camera, it looks fine, but the lcd screen is so small, after I put it into the computer, when I'm playing with the color, and it went ugly, how did you manage to get good and usable footages with such a high Iso? I'm wondering if it's also the lens max aperture which is F4 only.
Here is one I use for both AC charging and car charging. Ten bucks and works great. www.amazon.com/Wasabi-Power-ILCE-QX1-SLT-A55V-Cyber-shot/dp/B0043XOFMO/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1486137232&sr=8-12&keywords=SOny+a6000+battery+charger
Thank you George, however I'm looking for the Amazon link you used for the battery that is wired to be plugged into AC for say long exposures without worrying about draining a regular battery.
I take it that you new to this. My suggestion put the table in between you and the camera. Open all packages and test the out or at the very least show it to us. Don’t tells about the product do a half job unboxing and keep it in your hands and don’t show the viewers.
then I must gotten a dud, twice. I was burned when I got the cheapos. since then I have bought oem, expensive but they've last me from the nex6 to my current a6500
+Chico Dinkha I don't know which lens hood you bought. The one in the video is for the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 E PZ. You can look in the video how to install it
Excellent! You made some good suggestions that others have overlooked. Well done!

Nice guy. Thanks for linking these items to the video. Save me lot of money!

I liked the lens hood for the kit lens. The body cap is a must have. I still need an extra battery and wall charger.

this was so useful. thank you so much
+Merkz thank you for watching!
From what I've heard, the extra batteries is a definite "must have" for the A6000.
+恵美子 H-San yes, they are needed. And the sony branded cost $50USD, so it is good that options exist :)
TechDoc Third-party ones are good, from what I've heard, particularly Wasabi.

Try rotating the petals so the vignette dissapears
Thank you very much, your info is priceless.

I bought that lens hood!
Good video! You seem very genuine

nice video. is there a benefit to using the IR remote over connecting using PlayMemories and your phone to shoot?? Thanks

you dont need a remote, you can just use the smart remote app if you have a phone
+Brandon Clark that is correct
It's a hassle to set up your phone and all that. an IR remote works all the time and is works instantly.
it is a hassle for the initial setup, but to me 20 mins of time is cheaper than a remote.
+Brandon Clark that is true
+AMA it sure is more convenient. Good to know there are options for all needs
Very good info.
Thanks!
I am a new subscriber. Love your channel.
Thank you very much! I really appreciate the support.
LOOK AT PEAK DESIGN. They have a nice strap and small bag for this camera.
Yeah, I love Peak Design products. A tad expensive but seem worth it.
hi, Geogre, what about Lense hood and screen protector? do you hav a link?
Great video. Hablas Espanol?
+boiii Thank you! Si, hablo español :)
You didn't put a link for the lens adapter...do you have a link to an adapter for both Nikon and Canon lens for the Sony a6000?
+Dennis Craig Sorry! I forgot about that one hehehe.
I will put it in the description so the comment won't get flagged :)
the remote can be temperamental at times right and only good for 15 ft?

+Yee Leong Khoo use the kit lens (16-50mm) and close down the aperture (f/8 approx). Use auto ISO.
Great video
+sachin sharma thanks for watching!
You get a little awkward at times, breathe in and breathe out, you are good man, you are genuine and good
+sachin sharma Thank you very much! I am still learning how to make videos and loosen myself in front of the camera. Hope it was useful for you. :)
cool video
i cant find that lens hood.. your said its need coverter from 40.5mm to 52mm..
Good information 👍🏻
Thank you!
Ownuser makes a battery grip (E-Bay) about $100.00 and Newmowa makes an inexpensive battery charger (Amazon) about $13.00.
Good, thank you

Thanks alot TechDoc ! I was gonna use in on my Sony A6000 ... but sure I'll be on the lookout for something as per your description
could you please tell me if you can charge the OEM battery with the wasabi charger?
+fabio cunha Yes you can. It charges at the same rate as the Wasabi Batteries. I try to charge the OEM battery via USB whenever I can.
since you are not getting originals how are they holding up?
+Wendy Ortiz They have been great. Whenever I use them in camera the last as long as the OEM. So far so good

Can a step up ring ( 40.5 mm to 49 mm with 49 mm filter )will fit to Kit lens along with Hood ??
please advice ..

yeah man, in the next days i'll be posting them.

I'll put it in the video description :D
did the hood block the wide angle??
+24k Creations no it didn't
Please provide a link for the hot shoe cover.
+Wander Lust sure I'll put it in the description of the video
Hey which is the best cinematic lens for this camera??
+Karan Kapur depends on the look you want to get. A great option is the 18-105 f4 G lens
And what about photos?
+Karan Kapur depends on what you shoot.
A great wideangle lens is the 10-18mm f4 sony
The best for portrait work is the zeiss 55mm f1.8
What camera was this shot with?
+Charles Anjorin nikon d7000
TechDoc I also have a D7000 and just got the a6000. :0
nice reviews, not sure if its your friendly accent or what, i endedup ordering most of the items for my a6000 :)
Thank you very much for watching! I'm glad the video was useful. Enjoy all your great accesories!
is it still working properly
+Jatin Ahuja yeah! Everything perfect

what the title song background music?

lol this is funny i have alomst all those things in my shopping cart on amazon before watching this lol
+Ryan Fonseca nice!
you get what you paid for. The knockoff batteries will last for one charge and subsequent charges will knock its life significantly.
It is a risk you take by buying third-party accesories. Sometimes you get good copies, sometimes you don't. So far mines have been working great.
then I must gotten a dud, twice. I was burned when I got the cheapos. since then I have bought oem, expensive but they've last me from the nex6 to my current a6500
I have a Sony a6000, and need a lens hood. What do you recommend
+Chico Dinkha check the link in the description. There is a lens hood from opteka if I remember correctly
TechDoc will this lens hood fit on the lens i have?
I bought a lens hood from Amazon and it didn't fit
+Chico Dinkha I don't know which lens hood you bought. The one in the video is for the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 E PZ. You can look in the video how to install it
TechDoc it's the one that comes with the camera
Is the adapter auto focus?
+Wahyu Wiyono no. But it will let you change the aperture on lenses without an aperture ring
I was expecting to see an eye cup professionnel! :(
it comes with a decently robust eyecup
+Question Everything it does!
TechDoc: How much did you pay for the Sony A6000 ?
+Randall Thompson I got it in a Sale for around $450USD with two kit lenses
Where at???
+hoodooslab what? :)
Where did you get the camera with 2 lenses for 450?
what about an external mic, trust Sony not to give us an external mic jack input ;-(
+Dewi Hughes that would be the best option. But for a6000 users, the sony mic or an external recorder are the only options
I don't care w.a
if i got a nickle for everytime he said or something like that...
You would have a couple of bucks :P
