I have the 150W version of this solar mat. I know that the panel itself has a waterproof rating, but what about the anderson plugs being left out in the rain?
You don't connect your fridge to your solar panel, your solar panel charges your battery, the you connect your fridge to the battery. Have a read of this article if you would like more detail - www.snowys.com.au/blog/solar-formula-for-your-4wd-setup/. ~ Ben
Great review. Thanks for sharing. Yes 20% efficiency is important to note with panels. 👍
Yep, that's very important to keep in mind. ~ Ben
Thanks Ben. That's the best explanation of set-up and use that I've seen. Very practical
I'm glad you found it useful. ~ Ben
Another great review Ben 👍🏼
Thanks. ~ Ben

Anderson plugs are fine in the rain, their design mitigates any issues, you see them on the outside of vehicles all the time. ~ Ben
Silly question. After charging your car battery, how do you connect you fridge, lights etc to it?

well that is crap didnt even get a comparison of amps to the older version which i have. saved me some money from updating
I wouldn't update if you have the old version, it's still a 200W panel so amps are similar. I have the old version and love it. ~ Ben
good to see you do sell one without the ppt controller ,ill use my dcdc charger with mppt upto 400w on the new idc25x, 9-36v input
Yeah, they started offering a version without the PWM controller a while back for this very reason. ~ Ben
