When I heard at the beginning of the episode that Brad was running the show this episode I was a little worried....but as soon as they showed him and he turned around and that flowing magnificent mullet spun around.....I knew we were in good hands.
Wow I can't believe Brad with long hair!!! He has always been the clean cut guy!!! Brad thank you for taking over for Kurt today!!! Very nice hunt and finds today!!! God Bless All the Hoover Boys!!!
Awesome job on the filming Brad! It looks and sounds like you all had a great and fun day! Great to see you all again! Thanks for taking us along Brad and Kurt! Stay safe, and God Bless!
Ok… so I just started the intro and I had the same feeling as you buddy. “Don’t want to freak us out” huh!!!! 😂😂😂. Brad, You’ve definitely grown it out since we last got to see ya. Now back to the show. 😂😂😂
Great video Brad!!! Hell of alot of fun and some great finds!!! Wonderful to see all the boys! Smiley killed me when his buddy pulled the sqirter of the top of his spray bottle! Cant say enough about this one! Congrats to all! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great job!!!!! The hole on the red jasper arrowhead is a pit. That point has been in a fire. Th extreme heat from fire causes them to pit. Moisture in the stone turns to steam and tiny particles of stone explode off the arrowhead....causing pits. That point was probably left in a piece of meat while being cooked over a fire. Great find!!!!!
I think the hole in the point might be called fire pop. Something Like that anyway. Entertaining video none the less. Kool Finds! That Pinetree tho! Lol woweee
Awesome job Brad, You or Kurt both do well. I like when the whole crew is together. You guys haven't been going out much together anymore but, the videos are still very entertaining. Keep up the good job and as always I'll be waiting for the next video.
Brad dont let them say anything bad about your awesome hair! I support Brads long hair!! LOL...thanks for filming brad that was a fun adventure!! Missed you kurt!
I start a new job in two weeks and haven't found anything in my register... I am glad you all had fun digging holes and saving some lunch. :P See you all next week.
I’m just into the intro at lunch break…. And YES IM GROWING MY ACHY BREAKY MULLET BACK TOO!! Natural neck warmer… look out KURT, B-Rad has the filming skills… ok enough commenting …… ON WITH THE SHOW!! Thank you (the whole crew !) for entertaining use with awesome finds and funny ass content… sorry Kurt couldn’t be there in person… OK NOW “ON WITH THE SHOW!” 😂😊😊😂
That dimple in the arrowhead was caused by fire. When the settlers arrived part of the land clearing process was to burn the underbrush. The fire from burning the underbrush causes those dimples. I have some scrapers with those dimples in them.
Equipment question for Brad. Which knee pads have you found to be the most comfortable for all day use? Great job with the episode, by the way. I love you guys, especially your friendships with each other.
The little red arrow point with the dimple in it, these little pops are created by heat treating the chert the points were made from. when the material is heated in tends to make the chert brittle and easier to work, and it tends to give the surface a waxy look to it. lighter colored material will often have a pink cst to it from the iron in the chert that the heat brings to the surface. I did archaeology field work for over ten years in the midwest where we have better material and much older points! Not so many 300 year old coins, but plentyof points 5,000 to 9,000 years old!
Hi guys, I've been watching your channel for about a year now and finally got my first detector an equinox 600, going on my first proper day detecting tomorrow, Sunday, I feel I now have an advantage to start after all you great shows and good advice. I live in Cornwall in the UK an ancient mining county, when I get my first good find I'll be sure to let you know, absolutely love your channel, best wishes Nigel.
That Pine Tree coin is awesome! I also found one of those GW buttons last year. I almost left it since I was digging can slaw all around it! Luckily something told me to turn around & go back & dig it! Glad I did. I told my partner it wasn't a GW since I've never seen that type before! Boy do I feel dumb....I have yet to clean it
The dimple in the partial point is most likely from being in a fire. Rapid heating can cause that. I see it quite often here in areas that have had wildfire go through. The other indicator of that is the color change from red to yellow/orange near the break. Often yellow jasper will turn red after being heated. Sometimes that was done intentionally to make knapping easier.
Regardless of Brad's obvious professional level quality camera work, Awesome video! Brad, great to see you again for finds like that I would watch of hours of your camera work! :)
💎 I stopped at the 2:09 mark to say ROCK ON BRAD !! Kurt’s just “jelly” I’ve been growing my hair long for 10 years now you know why??? Cause I can that’s why !!!
Hey Kurt I had a question. I know your lucky enough to have a club to be a part of but there is nothing like that in my area. Do you have any advice on how to get people in my area into the hobby so I have someone to dig with? As always great videos love them all .
Hey Brad, great hair bro! Goes with the beard. This is coming from an old long haired cowboy in South Texas. Don’t let all the hairless Hoovers get to you. lol
I just started detecting in a vergin field dating back to civil war training and where the home was I found my first treasure. A side curtin snap from a Ford model T.
When I heard at the beginning of the episode that Brad was running the show this episode I was a little worried....but as soon as they showed him and he turned around and that flowing magnificent mullet spun around.....I knew we were in good hands.
