Nice review. We love our 2019 SE with tech 4motion. We have almost 20,000 miles and never had any problems with it so far. Great vehicle!!

How’s the acceleration or performance..?
@@abudobaib It's average, it seems to have some great low gears but it's more for power/torque not speed. It can cruise nicely at highway speeds once it gets going.
Many of the features you mentioned are not specific to the r line. Other than the r line badging and the 1 inch increase in rim size, the SEL Premium has all you mentioned.
We love ours. Only complain the front blinkers aren’t LED anymore and the HORN sounds like a old school beetle… other than that great vehicle..

This makes no sense. I have a 2020 R Line and the ONLY thing that is different is the mine says Cross sport where that one says R Line...Please explain

i just noticed today. Coz the 2019 atlas does have a door lights both driver & passenger. Now the 2021 atlas Im not pretty sure it just like a red reflectors??
Do they now have the option to see all 4 wheels psi tire pressure?
You can get OBD Eleven and add that feature.

That Guy777 that is a very good question, the 2021 model rides better in my opinion.
I spent a month looking for a 3 row crossover SUV. I started with the 2020 Atlas. I then went to the Telluride and Palisade followed by the Highlander. Finally I tried a 2021 Atlas and that won hands down. All had things we liked bit from a prices point, ride quality and features, the 21 Atlas SEL premium 4 motion got our business. A top end Palisade and Telluride ride well but not as well as the 21 Atlas. You also are paying sticker or more for the Palisade or Telluride. 50k for them takes away their biggest selling point of being a bargain in my opinion. The Highlander Hybrid was on our list but you can't deal on them, they are smaller, and do not look as good as the Atlas to me. The Atlas does not get as good of MPG as the others but is makes up for it and VW is willing to deal from my experience. Without any rebates, I was able to haggle over email from almost 52K MSRP (US) to 43k. I was out the door for 46k with added things like the Monster Mats, carfo cover, cargo mats and blocks etc. Very please and we got the exact one im the review minus the R Line trim, it just didn't seem like it added much to me. I love the Tourmaline Blue with the Titan Black and grey interior. Absolutely looks amazing .
Hey Mike. We are considering the SEL vs SEL Premium. Do you think the upgraded sound system, seats, and a few tech items are worth negotiating from base SEL?
@@joeiacolucci a follow up. Stay away from the Atlas. Ours has been in the shop for one month of the just over 2 months we have owned it. Its there now for over 2 weeks. First 2 weeks it had a bad Evaporative Pump and sway bars replaced. A couple weeks later the panoramic roof started leaking. Got it back after a week and a few days later, it leaked again. We brought it to them actively leaking and they still can't find the reason. I have uses 2 separate dealers. We loved everything about the car which sucks because we are in the Lemon Law Process now. i am furious with VW for letting this hit the streets. 8 truly loved the car and the SEL Premium was worth the upgrade. I am going to probably buy a used Lexus GX or a Highlander next.
@@greenshield1 Did you get your money back. I am considering Atlas for space but going from Lexus I am concerned abt reliability.
Outside design stands out. Inside is from VW 2000’s. Even the buttons are taken from 20 years ago. Tech is fine but engine choices are below par. R line with the old VR6 engine??? WTF? Why VW?
My two cents; VW US does not care about selling compelling vehicles. Audi is the priority in the US market. If this is $50k loaded then just skip it and get an Audi.

I just bought one I love its the SE R line it has leather and it's awesome.
@@thehoweman22 it's fake leather. Only the top trim SEL Premium has real leather. Honestly the fake leather is better for real life. Doesn't tear or rip as easy. And if you take care of it and use a leather conditioner. The fake leather will stay soft and nice like real leather feels. But much more durable.
