This show just got better and better as it went on. Series three was hilarious from start to finish, and it's hard to believe that this was the last one. 😢
ua-cam.com/video/q2UaB8gpy8s/v-deo.html is a piss-take of an advert for a credit card that ran on British television at the time. Can't remember which one but it did involve a dad writing to his grown-up daughter encouraging her to swim with the dolphins.
Ah yes, that period in the early 90s when all British TV did was unimaginatively churn out period dramas based on overrated novels from the prior century (or Catherine Cookson's drab fantasies). At least they sold well in the U.S.
" ... and then I come out, dressed... as a chicken." I still remember that from the first time around. Absolutely hilarious! Thank you for posting.

"...followed closely by Oliver Reed, who is to play... no further part in the production."
Wonderful ensemble, superb writing. For me Michael Fenton-Stevens is the star. The glue that holds it all together.
Fantastic series upload, thanks!
"OH LOOK! IT'S MR FUZZYWIG. "

You don't like them then don't watch them.
