- These Mech Tech guys sure know what they’re doing! Building a 13b Rx-8 capable of 206mph in the 1/4 in WELL under 6 seconds - now THAT is crazy! They pulled off an impressive 6.73 average over all 5 elimination rounds, and won the Radial vs Modified class! Congrats to the team on an impressive victory - we can’t wait to see what’s in store next time!

The 13B moves as much air as a 4.0 liter V-8... it just doesn't make even half the torque.

Except, Apex seals in those engines, are pistons.
So yeah, every mile or so, they need a complete rebuild, at that stage of racing.
Awesome Face they most likely use ceramic seals or some very hard seal and a ton of premix hense smoke to protect the housings.

Rest in Peace Wankel engine 1964 - 2012.*

Some people can't respect all the hard work it took to make the car go as fast as it does. These are combinations the gears the motor build the turbo size they work hard for it so that's way he gives little info and not lay everything out but you could not understand that if you never built a race car. he cant just give away everything he does and the next guy does not work for it not fair. There are many guys with pro mods that don't even tell you engine size. He comes off as a little rude because of his language barrier but believe me he is just as proud as the guy with the v8. Remember a 13 B is a small 4cyl keeping up and beating those big V8 cars you must tip your hat off to them this is not a easy thing to do.

A lot of the import rotary cars were cool, but the fastest cars were all pro-mods minus the 800+ cubic inch twin turbo v8's usually found in a pro-mod swapped out for a 1.3L turbo.
Clearly has Billet rotor housings or otherwise it's impossible I still say rotor for the win and Rico for the win always on the rotor side haha
