Hey bud, you said the amperage didn't feel quite right while running it on 220V. You might try running it without using an extension cord or possibly using a heavier ex. cord. Too small of a cord can cause a reduction to what the machine is receiving. One way to tell is to run a couple more beads and grab ahold of the ex. cord after you pull off, if it is considerably hot, then you'll know for sure that you need a heavier gauge cord. ✌🏻
Practice on a flat plate. No joints your flat. Get a good deal of it and work on uniformity. The first struggle will be striking the arc without it sticking and or getting porosity. It’s all about practice. Digest every stick welding video on UA-cam. Practice practice practice. Ask questions. I will be here to help 🫡
Would this weld be ok to weld patch of metal to a car about 3x3 inch square? I’m doing a wire tuck and I want to patch a few areas where the old mounts were in the engine bay. Great video by the way to the point and very I formative.
I noticed while you used the MiG setting you had the setting for “gas” on and I didn’t see you use 75/25 or at least I didn’t see the tank hooked up to the machine. Did you do that weld gas-less ?
weld chain hooks on tractor bucket. Welding to top of bucket that is 3"X 1/4" square tube and hook is 5/8" and beveled on the bottom. I have been trying to weld it with a HF 125 flux welder
@@VantageWelding It has 2 settings Min and Max harbor freight 125 flux turned to Max. Last night I preheated the metal and did 4 layers each side, I then took a sledgehammer and I could not break the weld.
@@VantageWelding Yesterday I bought the HF Vulcan, 220 amp multi process welder, have not tried it yet, on sale 899.00. Any opinion on this welder? I have till the end of the day to return it without paying 20% restocking charge.
Thank you for showing the tig capabilities! Not many do and that sold it for me..

Thanks for the tip budd
Yeah, thanks for an instant perspective on the experience reflected in the video.
Any advice on welding stick and I just got a Miller 215 Multimatic and I’m welding at home

Patch work, yes! Anything with a load, probably not. I wouldn’t trust my life with this thing.

I don’t remember brother.

Is it not sticking? Turn that sucker up all the way. It’ll hold just enough to be able to hook chains to

@@goldsbywashington3509 hell yeah brother. Good stuff. That’s all you need right there 🤝

@goldsbywashington3509 never used it. All depends on your needs.
That was some good looking tig
Thanks for watching 🫡
For a machine under 200 bucks it looks solid, what is the duty cycle if you have that info?
I do not have that info of the back of my head but you can google the model name and all the info will pop up.
60%
What is the thickest metal that can be welded together ?
2.5 million light years thick I believe is the record.
What is the thickest metal the Bestarc 145 can successfully weld ??? Thank you
I believe it can weld up to 1/2”. It all depends on what it is you want to do. Definitely not something you want welding heavy machinery equipment.
