Hello. I am working in Ireland and since I have my PPS number, in my payslips say that I am not paying taxes but everybody is telling me that I should be paying the 20%. I dont know what to do. Somebody who can help me please??
Tax is calculated on a cumulative basis so your tax credits at the moment may be covering your tax liability. We have a few videos explaining the tax deduction system.
Thanks for the explanation !! Just another question, I send money every month to brazil to support my son who lives in there ( he never lived with me in Ireland ), so Can I claim for Dependent Relative tax ?
@Joshing Around: May I ask if MyRevenue will break down tax refunds into multiple bank transfers, I just received the tax refund for my overpayment but haven't received the tax refund for my tuition fee?
Thanks ! I am a student and came to Dublin on September 1 last year. I couldn’t understand what I should select in “Ordinarily resident” and “Domiciled in Ireland” .. I tried looking up but still couldn’t figure it out. Should I select no for both ?
Hi, the citizen information says "If you have been resident for the previous 3 tax years, then you become ordinarily resident from the start of the fourth year. " so it depends if you've been in ireland for 3 years + or less
If you are living here now you are resident. If you plan to live here for the foreseeable future then you are also domiciled. If you don't plan to remain in Ireland then you are not domiciled. There is a little icon beside each that explain these terms.
Hello!!! I get an alert it says that i cannot generate my year statement becaue I am registred as Income Tax… i dont understand my only income is from my employer i am not married either. Do you have any clue if anything might be wrong?
Hi, i'm following this procedure for the tax return of the 2023 but i'm still a bit confused about few things...how do you know that the amount of money that the company declared to revenew is correct? do you check the payslip? because the second company that i worked with never gave me payslip, they alway said that i could find it online. The thing is that i think i didn't pay taxes last year, because i worked for like 5 months and i didn't reach 13.000€. Now at the end of the procedure it shows me an amount of money that i don't know if i have to claim or pay back to the government, it's confusing..can you please help me?
every employer must give you a payslip. That the law. All the details of your Income that has been declared by your employers together with taxes deducted will be shown on your Statement of liability.
But this is obviously different to the self assessment for self employed? You need some form of digital certificate..its confusing and how do people even begin to learn this s..t???? I dont see revenue offering any courses
thank you , what happened if I have in the pandemic the covid payment and after that illness benefit ? how they will discount ... can I apply to a rent tax back? , thank you
Hi Pranav.... We 3 roommates working in dublin residing in apartment and sharing rent. But landlord accepts rent from one tenetnt intotal I pay rent to my roommate account and he pays total rent to landloard. We have lease agreement with land lord properly signed by 3 . Can I get tax credit. Rent is paid through bank transfer & amount is 1134 Euro per roomate. Pls inform. Also rent paid in year 2022.
Yes Anil, you are still eligible for tax return. You have bank proofs of sending money and a contract to back you up thqt you are staying in that house. Even my friends have the same story, they also pay to one guy and then that guy pays rent to the landowner. They all have applied for tax credit return.
@@JoshingAroundUA-cam I'm in a similar situation. I transfer the rent to my housemate which in turn is transferred to the Owner. Do I put my Housemate's name in the paid to field or the name of the owner?

You don’t pay until the first 13K. Then it automatically deducts its

we have a video on dependent relative tax credit if you wish to check it out.
Hi! Thank you so much for the video. When I select the year, the only option given is “request”, there’s no “edit” option now… what to do ?
select request and then do tax return. We also have a step by step guide for 2023.
For dependent tax credit , i think u can only get the tax credit if the dependent person is over 65yrs of age.
Good Job bro
You the real MVP 🥇
how do i declare my youtube earnings to revenue ?
it depends on how much you make from youtube. If you are also a PAYE worker it maybe a form 12 or form 11.
Is dependent tax credit will affect the deductions on your salary after you declaired it? And what was the documents needed for that? Thanks
see our video on what documents and conditions you need for the dependent relative tax credit.

Can I apply for tax return on the money I am giving to my daughter who study in uni.and dependent on me?
it depends on a few factors like what course she is doing and if it is an approved course for tax refund purposes.
Hi
after January we can't file the income tax ? Or is there any deadline to file this ?
@@archanacv1154 there is no deadline! The late you fill the more time it will take to process!

Revenue thinks you are self employed. You must consult Revenue and also speak with your employer about it.
I'm student here still i can do this

thank you , what happened if I have in the pandemic the covid payment and after that illness benefit ? how they will discount ... can I apply to a rent tax back? , thank you
you can apply for rent tax credit and if you owe tax then the amount of any refund will reduce the amount of tax owed on the PUP.
Will it credit to our bank acc?
