Adding a bit more IR/ RED, is going to make these very admirable, in my opinion. And they did. Thanks GA!
This light was correctly tested by the Migro camp (Dr. Coco) it smashed the Growcraft X 3-330-3bar in a true grid 2'x4' non reflected floor at 19"-24" perfect par at 19"1/2🤓
So I just bought the sp250 with no dimmer. The week later they came out with the sp250 with dimmer?😜
Good review. Just as a correction - that box is not called a ballast with LED lights, but a driver :)
I love this proffesional growing channel.
Where is part 2?
I'm unabe to understand how light warm / wattage / lumens / wavelength relate to each other.
Some videos says we should focus only on the wave lenght because that's what matter the most, and that the best light for plants is not visible to the human eye, but at the same time, that people keep measuring the lumens of the light (how far away light goes).
On the other side we talk a lot a bout light warm, the same warm could be achieve with different wavelenght, isn't?, so, why people say things like: "light around 4000K is ideal for....", should be considering only wavelength?
I have seen a lot of videos and I'm still completely confuse about all of this :(
Plants use all light from uv to ir including human visible light
Lucyfer Lucyfer, they are not measuring lumens usually. They are measuring P.A.R. That stands for Photosynthetically Active Radiation. That is defined as light that plants can use for photosynthesis. A lumen is the light output of one full moon.
Watts are of concern because of cost of electricity and because higher watts means higher heat too.
The wavelength is important too, to get good growth and a good product. It's all important. I just went on my LED education journey a few months ago. At first the information can be overwhelming, but patterns emerge after a while, and the good information will stand out. There are a lot of light manufacturers competing for our money! Some of them, like Spider Farmer, send free lights to growers in return for honest (pronounced 'positive') UA-cam reviews ;) It seems that Mars has seen the value of this promotion and is doing the same thing. These Mars SP-3000 videos all just popped up in the last few weeks.
looks like a step up for MarsHydro! cheers all
They look like they are moving up on models gotta say the heatsinks are very nice. However maxsisun Is really where it's at.
Hey so i actually have a sp250 and a maxisun pb2000 and pb1500. I like both for different reasons. Why do you say your comment?
I have one and they are definitely not better.
Great review great lights
Meanwhile should make a heat sink that is also the balists cover
That par will grow sum dense buds
My lights come in Tuesday!
@@rayjay8322 how ya likem I jus ordered
@@crunchnuts I love mine! I"m on the end of the second grow. I just won a SP6500,so the 3000 will go back in the box for a little while. I’ll probably will use it as a clone light in a 2x4 to make auto seed and crosses. The 6500 is gonna grow some monsters.
Keep that 3000 at 22in at the closest to the top of your canopy, unless you're running CO2 all the time
Can't wait for the cuke grow!
Led's don't have ballasts. Instead they're called drivers. Best regards.
Per Mars Hydro: For the SP 3000 and SP 6500 lights, the previous version is with IR and UV chips. Since March, we have moved the IR and UV from the SP 3000, SP 6500, and FC 6500 lights. Also, the new FC-E6500 light doesn't have IR and UV chips. The reason is that these lights' main customers are personal growers who pursue the best results or the commercial project customers; they prefer to independently control the IR and UV lights time, don't need the IR and UV chips on the light itself. Mars Hydro also will issue independent IR and UV lights in the second half of the year.
I am waiting for SP2000 for reasonable price, don't need more in my 2x4 tent
Did you ever get one ?
@@roadrunner7441 added another ts1000 for 90$ 😁😁
@@alexsiniov In a 2 x 4 ? How many plants you growing with that setup ?
@@roadrunner7441 2. It's 3x2
@@alexsiniov Last question do you think two to four plants can fit in a 2 x 2 tent ?
What do you think would be an optimal dimmed wattage for veg.
Depending on the environment and plants that your gonna grow about 50% is rough guide for growing weed as cannabis likes a high amount of light, then 100% for flower. A little less for a lot of salads
You need to look DLI for each crop and max PAR values
Does it produce so much heat as the rest of MarsHydro do ?
Awesome
Be careful with mars lighting , I have had 4 of the older styles ( last years ) either draw power of a timer in the dark " faintly" right out of the box , or like the 1000w after 6 months of use . Just keep an eye on them in the dark on a timer is all i can say , maybe the issues ( like with the 600w not being timer compatible per mars techs ) have been fixed . Mars sent me instructions on how to wire them to make the 600 timer compatible, If they know this , then why sell them without telling people?, the faint light can cause huge problems for cannabis growers and its very faint , the only way to tell is to flip them while on a timer in the dark , depending on the light height , or get on your hands and knees and look up :xD.
If u want to spend this much$$$$$ go with hlg Or chilled
The Migro camp (Dr Coco) just tested this light correctly it smashed the Growcraft X3-330 in a 2x4 and it's only 1bar vs 3bar Growcraft
budzzxll 420 hlg=scam educate yourself
This video was great until the very end when he mentioned he's going to grow what cucumbers lol.
do u think the sp3000 is good enought for the half of my 6x6 for flower
More than
@@GrowingAnswers should i go for the Sp3000 then ?? than you for your answer
@@pedrole7036 the 250’s are almost as good for cheaper. Other than that, the 3000’s are hard to beat.
One of these should be good for a 2x4 tent right?
Absolutely
@@GrowingAnswers Does The Daisy Chain cable supply power as well as dimming function? Thanks
@@johnman559 no power, only dimming
WTF? @ $400 per fixture to grow what???????????
Robert Hart it’s a specific market target.
Ok. I get people have hobbies. But in spending thousands on cannabis a year. I understand biting the price for something expensive like pot. But why do people buy 800$ in lights for cucumbers. Real question. Is this just for your channel. People following for cucumber growth arent going to spend that money. People growing cannabis are your market bro. Its It's legal.
internode is too big with those led for many variety , samsung know it, spectra to close to sun , how can all pro like you dont speak about this !
I’ve never noticed any abnormal stretching. Don’t see how that would even be an issue with the spectrum they use. They’d have to be very warm tinted for that to happen and they are not. Or they’d have to use a ton of IR which they don’t.
Night temp have to be right for good internodes distance
Lights are trash customer service is trash u r warned
