I'm happy to see that institutes like XL are no longer afraid to take in students who had a troubled past. Specially, in India, when it comes to mental health issues, where you are always encouraged to not tell your story. They ask seemingly questions like "how are you gonna manage people when you can't manage yourself?" This whole logic seems absurd to me. If someone have overcome such problems, they have already proved that they are Strong. It's really good to see such stories being promoted
I remember my time of CAT 2017. I am a very mediocre student who was quite happy with a percentile around 90-95. I was doing good with my mocks. However, around two months before CAT, I somehow got some anxiety and panick attack. I got insomnia and whenever I slept, I woke up to a bad dream mostly regarding my CAT papers. I got a feeling, if I don't crack CAT, my life is ruined. I will be a total failure. So, as expected. Nothing went well. Didn't even get 80%ile in CAT. So, I joined an IT firm in Mysore. Worked for more than two years. Luckily, circumstances taught me to be happy with what you have. My mind was normal again and by God's grace, I achieved a better percentile than my expectations in the 2019 CAT and will pursue MBA this year. 😀
