Great video man, love your personal story too! I just bought my first Xpedition last week after owning an X3 since 2018, ready for more comfortable trail riding. (I kept the X3 for when I just want to bomb across the desert!) Keep up the good work!
Great ride man!! Love all the upgrades and how well done everything is 👏 👏 👏 We have 2 RZRs right now and are thinking about getting an Expedition so this review was what we were looking for. Thanks again!
Thanks Chuck just got my xpedition. I love it already have portals 35 lights most the mods youI'm excited for rally on the rocks this year 2025. Sandhollow. Thanks for your review. Steve.
Stumble across your channel when I was surfing the web. good job on everything you did on your expedition.. the build is sweet! Long travel is awesome! dirt dudes, Zack just got his 72-in suspension installed and he loves it. As far as a noise goes, two cylinder are just noisy inherently. Polaris should have installed a three cylinder on the expeditions as a base. Simplly, 3 cylinders are inherently quieter same with this five cylinder any odd cylinder is quieter. This is something that players should have done from the beginning. But I'm happy you've had good luck with this vehicle, You deserve it!

Just listened to your video and wondering if you have a build sheet for your machine? I’m purchasing a expedition this spring and looking at that type of setup.
Great review and insight on your Xpedition. I think content is just starting to catch up with this great buggy. I want to do either an XP5 or KRX4 eS. I know it will take a lot to get the KRX4 where I want it. Glad to hear the SDI E-clik is worth it. I’ve been eyeballing it for my Ram. What are your thoughts on new Evo turbo coming and HCR mid-travel setup?
I’m excited about the EVO Turbo, as long as it doesn’t increase the volume of the machine. I had a Force Turbo on and hated it. It made my ride so loud I couldn’t stand it. Biggest loss I’ve ever had so hopefully EVOs will be quieter. HCR is top shelf can’t go wrong. If I was a mid/long travel guy I would go with HCR. Good luck on your build.
another question regarding portals with 35s. I know you upgraded your ball joints but did you or do you recommend upgrading your tie rods? and or doing a steering rack stiffener?
@ No, all that stuff is bone stock. My thoughts on that is that they are sacrificial parts that are easy to replace. I’d rather bend an oem tie rod and not have to buy a new steering rack due to a heavy duty tie rod. As for the ball joints I went with stock as well just the HD version from Polaris
@@DavidEales3 No other upgrades were done. Turning sucks for sure, but fortunately I still have reverse and even in tight winding trails I don’t have any problems. If I can’t make the turn I will just go up and over what’s in my way.
@@deales88 I removed the headliner, door panels, dash, then behind rear seat and put dynamat everywhere including tunnel. It made no difference other than by a db meter 2-3. The only way to drop the sound is to lower rpm which in turn gives you less power. I added a tune which increases rpm to 8800 so it’s even louder yet, I just wear headsets like I did in my RZR.
Thats one of the nicest on road off road buggy ive seen. Nice job but damn the cost of this is just insane. You got to have over a 💯 k invested in this. Seems a Gladiator would be a better build platform.
Thank you. A Gladiator will not fit in my toy hauler or go 60+ mph in the desert through 2-3' whoops and dips. There's definitely pros and cons of both, I've just never been a fan of Jeeps due to their poor ride quality over rough terrain compared to a side by side.
These things are stupidly priced. Nothing against you sir. But like u said, u call it a car. I don't understand why people get these. ATVs are way better imo. Again, nothing against you, just throwing my 2 cents in.
@@kmchartrand99 ATVs don’t have ac and heat. At the end of the day it’s just a hobby. I go out doors often in very remote areas anytime of the year. I do agree, it would be nice if they were less expensive, but it is what it is.
@xmods24 ATVs are like motorcycles, you don't need AC in the summer, you just keep moving. I just bundle up and use grip warmers in the winter. But yeah, it's a hobby either way u look at it. 🤷♂️

Great review Chuck. I think the suspension is excellent from the factory. How much better is the SDI?
It’s significant. It’s is so much more tuneable on the fly than any other shock setup. Definitely worth the $.
some cars nowadays come with electric sway bars, the car will actually lean into the turn when you steer.. instead of merely resisting body roll
Side by Sides?

With the portals and S3 A arms did you have to upgrade your tie rods and or have any turning issues?

How well does the cab keep out dust? I’m surprised that with 35s that 30% portals weren’t the way to go. Very interesting.
Dust is kept to a minimum, but not perfect. 30% would cost me my top end and since I drive a lot on the street it would have been a bad choice.
Did you try and do anything to lower the in cab noise at all?. sound proofing?
