I made Alvin's recipe. The coffee adds a complexity of flavor and the brown butter adds nuttiness that your recipe probably lacked because you don't brown the butter (looks like you didn't for Alvin's either). I used GOOD chocolate -- Trader Joe's Pound Plus 72% for melting and for the top, the same plus some of the Pound Plus milk chocolate for the chunks inside. Alvin's recipe calls for a tablespoon of kosher salt, which I used. The salt both cuts the intensity of the sweetness and brightens the flavor. Yes, it's necessary. They were a gift for my sister who would live on brownies if she could, and she loved them. I say don't mess with what works. HOWEVER...if you don't like coffee at all, you won't like Alvin's. The coffee taste isn't overpowering, but it is there.
Great video. Both brownie recipes are delicious. However, if you're like me and don't like to wait for your brownies...go with the 48 hour version. You won't be sorry. :)
@@eliasbenjaminsson1884 True. He didn't show it browning. I guess i thought he might've continued to brown it a bit but didn't film that. Either way, I agree - looks like it was still tasty!
That clingfilm job was so clean
Such clarity in your description and you made the process seem very simple in easy to follow steps. A lovely recipe.

Make sure that the chocolate and the butter aren’t too hot or else they will cook the eggs
You’re recipe was more aesthetically pleasing
That is not browned butter tho
He did brown it at the start ?
Well he said he browned it but really didn’t. It wasn’t brown, just yellow plain butter, bet that brownie is still good tho
