Because there are 6 pairs of dots along the modulo lines there could never be a 24 pair, because we need a 12, 48 and 36 in both orientations. Despite spotting this it took me 31 minutes, but as you say I had so much fun doing it
Excellent puzzle, Café! I was expecting that the modular lines would be the main driving force--and they were, until the early modulo 0 digits were placed. Most of the rest of it was driven by kropki until the finale. Well done!
I used this tactic to resolve a number of 1248 dots. You just cornermarked a pair of 2s in block 6. This gives a mini-X-wing in blocks 4 and 6, and removes a 2 from a green cell in block 5. Then you get a mini-X-wing in 4s, removing 4 from the purple cell in block 6.
36:37 no help. A bit tricky but cool puzzle. Coloring was key for me. I started off badly using entropy 😅 instead of modular. Luckily I caught it early. Let's see if I can learn more from Bremster.
Definitely a tricky puzzle to start for me, but finally found my flow and finished in 12:58 (conflict checker off). Lovely puzzle from Café, many thanks to them and to BremSter for presenting it!
Well, that was slow and painful for me - I couldn't find a quick way of doing it, just pencil-marking everything and then eliminating candidates from different modular groups and Kropki dots. I ended up with a fully pencil-marked grid, which doesn't often happen.
