Lewitt is on a totally different level. I love this company.
Thanks!
There is actually a small community here on UA-cam. It's mostly changing capsules (modding Rode NT1(a)s) on cheap mics and building mic clone kits. But there are dozens of us! Dozens!!
💚
This is really fascinating. Thanks Wytse and Lewitt for bringing this to us!
You even changed the color of your nails to match the Lewitt colors! 😉
Interesting video. Thanx to Lewitt for inviting you in. I do love the way you are very clear about your Disclosures.
I am shocked that I saw you sideways, I didn't know your body had side. Because every time I see you facing camera :D. I was shocked xD at 5:36
Nice Video my friend! Gernot sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger speaking English 🙌
Yes, mics are rare in the diy community. So rare, that someone built an entire shop (microphone-parts) around it.
But a nice video, nonetheless :)
which shop is that?
Dear Wytse!
Your content is soooo unbelievably good. You treat us with a huge variety of content that is perfect for every artist in every stage of their profession.
After you talked about your nails - which look great - I wondered what more personal content coming from you could be. And this to me is really personal: You seem so excited, you travelled somewhere new, met people as excited about music as yourself and even got something nice out of it.
While your typical content is great and refreshing by itself, this video really nails (no pun intended) your personality, your interest in music and the almost random nature of your content.
Bravo! I am excited for what's to come in the future!
honestly i skipped most of the microphone building part of the video as i don't plan on building a mic myself, but it was just really interesting to see the atmosphere in which these awesome little gadges are being built. and it seems like your selfmade mic actually sounds good. nice!
I like how you rlly built one, but more of the tecknologie off the mic like how does the copper ring build works and a better camera ancle, also a elektric plan for the board.
Vienna, myHOMETOWN, myLEWITT! I love you all!
Thank you Wytse for this very cool mic-building video! I made the right decision buying the LCT 440 Pure. Very well build and incredible sound for the pricetag. Even compared to much more expensive studio-classics. One of the best pro-audio channels!!
Wow amazing video - the Lewitt technical guy is so good at explaining how it all works. One follow-up question on this, is, what makes the build difference between different microphones? Now that I see all the parts involved, I don't see the answer as being as straightforward anymore. This was very educational, hopefully you can do more videos with Lewitt.
Love the Lewitt nail colours! Awesome video Wytse! xx
this is awesome. I love diy stuff soooo much. I would love to see this as a series where you make diy studio gear or go and do exactly what you did in this video with other companies
That is the plan, however, not all companies are as “open” as Lewitt
Dude....fascinating video. Definitely one of your best so far.
FANTASTIC!
Wow! Deep congrats! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Much thx for sharing your achievement! 🏆 BTW, I really love your channel. 👍🏻
You NAILED it again, Witse. Kudos.
Awesome video. Nails look really cool. Love the Lewitt Motiff. 🎯
Love it that u keep painting those nails even after those hilarious comments. Keep it up (not the nails necessarily do whatever with those) but the content lol xD
wow, fantastic video!
i'm a 3D designer (ID), i've been working with 3D printing since the '90s (SLA)
really great content, thanks!
Excellent and super interesting video! Thank you.
Sounds great
This is next level Wytse, having a big smile on my face. (Ik betrap mezelf op een grote grijns)
Very cool. I had a chance to visit a major microphone manufacturer's HQ and anechoic chamber. I really enjoyed the experience.
Awesome video, and awesome nail varnish!
Many thanks for the upload.
Liked, and subscribed.
Greatest of all time! Loving it!
@lewitt is probably the most innovative company at this time. Great video 🔥 thanks for this moment
I really like the sound of your custom built mic, personally I prefer it over the other one.
Oh my god Weedse (sry hehe), I am currently using Equalizer APO to load VST Plugins in Windows Audio! This is great stuff man! I got "Finality" running when watching overly dynamic movies, or "ToneBoosters Morphit" headphone correction so I'm always listening to almost linear headphones. When I now switch on a studio emulation in my daw under the monitoring section it really makes a big difference.
Or does it? What do you think?
Nice mic btw ;)
That little pop filter isn't catching your plosives at that proximity, mate
Poor pop filter 😅
Very interesting video, like to see more of these sort of things. The resin based 3d printers are known for producing very smooth prints according to a 3d printing channel that I occasionally watch (Makers Muse from Australia who makes 3d printed puzzles for parrots). It appears that resin printers are quite fiddly.
love how Wytse painted is fingernails in the Lewitt colorway
We need more of this content please! Amazing vid 😆🙌
HOUSTON!!
do they sell kits or something? you can get capsules and pre-amps on ebay but the quality is meh
or just pcb design, can solder my own...
My man, are you still planing to make video about the ADPTR Sculpt plugin? :\ Or I just missed it
My man ou here with a working home made crudely conceived turboencabulator so he not only can supply inverse reactive current to his unilateral phase detractors, but also to automatically synchronize cardinal grameaters
Awesome. We need more of this content.
Meh, a bit too promotional, I would much preferred if he built a crappy microphone from scratch.
Very interesting! I don't made DIY usually but is an argument to consider. I think can I try something also on my channel. Thank you
this is the most nerdy video i have ever seen. 🤓
How does it sound like?
Oh, GOD Lewitt!!
can you review hardwells new plugin
I want one
Lewitt Mics sound great... just wish I could afford one....
His brother from another mother.
Ok but totally if you have a cheap MXL/MCA etc there are capsules, circuit kits, etc. that are really rad and swapping a capsule isn't too bad lol. If you don't be having money enough for like a 47 style mic but do be having MXL money it's an option
if you really want to build your own mic, checkout bumblebee ribbon mic kits. just a lot of fun and they sound really good. i built a pair of them.
Damn, I stopped right at the intro to write this comment. You came to Vienna and didn't announce it??? How could you do that to me. I'm living just around the corner of the airport and would have loved to pick you up to take you to Lewitt. Kind of a meet and greet. Anyway, I hope you liked your stay and that you had a nice weather.
Ohhhh nooo!!! 🥵
Really interesting video! Maybe I missed it but I'm still not sure whether or not you paid for the mic itself?
Ofc he didnt, and what does it matter, you can clearly hear its an awesome mic. Hakuna matata, calm down friend, and just let it happen 🫶🏼
@@lassorb4752 Sorry if my question triggered you. It's not made clear in the video and given Wytse makes much of his independence that seems significant.
@@ColinBennun well… same here, man. Have a great day.
They gave me the mic as a souvenir… since I hand made it, it is not something they could sell again, so it would be scrapped otherwise
@@Whiteseastudio yeah and with your logo on it… would be wierd not to give it to you :) ty for great content!
I like this kind of new content, so well made!
Personally i recommend nitrile gloves. Good tight fit around you're hand and gives more flexibility(feels like your normal hands really) i can see from a mile away those are vinyl gloves and oo god never touched them when i found out about nitrile. Latex also an option but you're hands will smell long like balloons and are not healthy in the long run.
Ya ya ya. Ya ya ya. Ya ya ya
Ya, ya, ya ya. Ya, ya, ya, ya, ok.
Did you know that you're going to hell for having long hair? Well that's what my mum always said anyway. I don't care how long your hair is, I only care how long you keep making these videos because I love watching them ❤
Guess I'm going to sub hell then! If you uncurl my hair it gets in my but crack, and I'm in my 60's. But curled, it looks about the same or slightly longer than his, damn shame about all the grey making it's way in.
@@drampadreg1386 I love you already 😂
how to build a micro?
Thats a good option for a title 😅
@@Whiteseastudio 😁 I baked a cake.. 😁
Ha! Love it! I like that you're still painting your nails too but I do find the 2 contrasting colours a little distracting in the close ups. ImI
Yeah, i wanted to paint them the Lewitt colors 😅
I get that you're a Lewitt affilate and congratulations to you, and I mean that, however, I don't know who in their right mind would drop close to three fucking grand on a 1040 considering the competition at that price, Telefunken, Geffell and not to mention Flea. The mere fact SX Pro don't stock them says it all really. They're made in China too regardless of where they're 'engineered'.
Microphone choice is extremely important and for me, I'd be going with the Telefunken TF47 which at almost a third cheaper is one incredible microphone. I'm not knocking Lewitt but three thousand pound on what amounts to a budget microphone brand is a bit of a stretch regardless of the R&D.
I’m not affiliated with Lewitt, but have you tried the 1040 at all?
@@Whiteseastudio I haven't tried it but like I say, it seems an awful lot of money considering what is also on offer at this point. Like I say, I'm not hating on Lewitt, I'm sure they're pretty good.
This is just assembling a manufacturer made microphone lmao, would be nice to see an actual microphone DIY build.
Comment for da algorithm
Streak count: 67
Nails again?. I rather have a analog obsession video.
Well this is not building the mic actually. This is more assembling pre-built parts. But the video was nice though. Good job!
Then nothing is built, you could argue everything is assembling pre-built parts.
Assembling is building. Your comment implies that we need to see the source of parts, materials, and their production and treatments to actually get a “build” going.
Next time wear a hair net.
Nerds
Sound in video is bad. Can"t watch it.
shitty sound from a mic manufacturer, interesting!
It was my røde mic 😂
bro is so lame it hurts
