1:33 "I'll have to shake his, too! La-la!" The fake language they use in this movie is a timeless classic in and of itself, I swear. Still makes me LOL to this very day.
@Low Spec Crap PC i cant remember the last modern comedy i watched! And nowdays i hardly watch a movie anyway. So i am a bit out of the loop about comedy`s and movies in general. I agree with you about the scary movies though, but they are starting to be a little old too:)
When people had thick skin and were allowed to have fun. Now they're cancelling Mr Potato head because of his gender and no longer printing Dr Sues. It's a mad mad mad mad mad world.
Modern comedy is way too politically correct. When a man like John Cleese says you can no longer make comedy like Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, etc. then you know things has gone too far and people become way too serious and thin skinned.
@MrKirk2019 It's unknown who it is even though I checked over the internet but I don't know what his name was for the movie. However, he does look like Jim Varney but I only it's not Jim Varney.
@Nicholas Maude That was Ramada's fault where she should have either not dressed like a man and stayed as her woman self or she should have waited until the patrol boat left to go into the Women's room since she was the cause of the gun fight starting and probably tried to stop it by removing the fake mustache and hat but somehow the ship captain didn't stop his crew from shooting.
I wonder... how many are aware this scene is basically a spoof of the World War Two boat search by a nazi patrol boat and a group of allied commandos from the movie "The Guns Of Navarone" I used to watch old war movies with my Grandpa and first time I saw this I about pissed myself laughing at the manner it was spoofed. Granted....everything about these films are brilliant and hilarious.
I wonder... That this whole scene is a mix of at least 3 movies... Apocalypse Now(1979) a Vietnam War movie where Charlie Sheen(the guy that here is pretending to be "John Rambo") father was playing... ua-cam.com/video/Nf8RY88NGkE/v-deo.html and "The Guns Of Navarone" (1961)...
All I know is how when there speaking that language that they speak. It sounds like they mashed up american words to make a word or dirty joke when they speak. The leader inspecting the boat says kareeemofonion. Cream of onion lol
I don't think many people even at the time of this movie was made (almost 30y who at this point) even remember Guns of Navarone. It was the first DVD my mom bought at the store after we got a DVD player. My grandpa used to talk about Alastair MacLean a lot when she was a child. Thanks to him and to her I saw some real classics
Say what you will about Charlie Sheen but you can't deny he's a damn good comedic actor. I loved these hot shots movies when I was a kid he was brilliant in them great timing and delivery. Was really good in serious role in Platoon too.
