48:40 they also broke the turret ring, meaning that the Russians couldn't even aim in the general direction of the Bradleys because they couldn't rotate their turret anymore
The Zumwalt was supposed to have rail guns. It didn't happen. They had an interim (not interim after rail gun cancelled) gun system on it (advanced gun system). It was then decided that the ammo for the advanced gun system was too expensive after they made just enough for experiments. So the guns ended up not having ammo. At best, the Zumwalt might get some extra missile launchers for hypersonic missiles, but I will believe it when I see it
Russia's tactical and logistical incompetence can be put down to Putin regularly purging the military of any officers that aren't explicitly his political lackeys. Pretty sure the biggest issue was poor QA/QC. Some cars came out amazing, no faults, others were lemons or practically needed a rebuild because the quality was that bad. And it’s not like they made only bad cars. The Mini was a huge, rampant success that outlived attempts to replace it until it could no longer be produced due to safety among other reasons. There was also the Rover SD1, an absolutely amazing car for car enthusiasts, with an amazing V8 engine, but was completely bogged down by issues or poor quality, that were not consistent between every model. The mass of manufacturers could make good cars, they just couldn’t do it with consistency. Ukraine's victory condition is Russia collapsing into civil war when Peter the great's empire comes apart and Siberia declares independence.
