In most cases it'd be too much pain for one person to handle in one day. After you get even one tattoo, it takes a lot of time and effort to take care of it. I can't imagine having to take care of 5 at the same time after going home.
I agree with the replies here but honestly if I were offered 5 free tattoos in a day, I’d probably take the offer. They were also probably told what pain they’d be going through and anyone who watches the show knows your human canvas can walk out at anytime
I think they were testing creativity? Which is an essential skill for making a good tattoo design for an indecisive canvas… It could be done better than with dominos but you know what. Dumber shit has been seen on TV
Kruisman and duffee have such a wholesome relationship. All the other master's and apprentices were talking about beating each other but those two were always supporting each other it was super nice too see.

Can I just say actually really want to do that domino challenge just for fun. I’ve dabbled with them and instantly thought of a dragon spitting fire where the dragon scales fall one way and the fireball fall the other. Might even put a domino pyramid inside the fireball to make it “explode” more
I get that Boneface wasn't the best "artist" that season (he doesn't consider himself one, after all), but I have to admit that sidelining him in the Interlocking tattoo challenge was a little unfair because his technical abilities would've benefited his team. Yes, I know they still won, but Gia just having watch was a little insulting.

My only interpretation on putting him on watch is to make sure everything looks cohesive. Which might be hard to do if you are tattooing since you are focusing on such a small area of the overall piece. This appears to have been an issue on the other team as Nikki started to go rogue before her teammate and coach pulled her back. But it was also clear that Gia just didn’t like Boneface, so both could be true.
No one put the dominoes on their sides.... i find that odd.. its still up, and theyll still knock down so youd get all your points but theyre wider than they are tall that way so theyd balance easier..... right?
they wouldn’t really cover more area because you have to put them closer together so they still knock down so it would be about the same I still would put them sideways though to reduce the risk of an early toppling

There isn't always a point. It's literally just challenges to see who will have the upper hand in the main challenge. It's not always to see what they are capable of.
There just checking you know the concept. Understanding how colors play with dominos to make a picture is not conceptual different then how it plays on the tatoo. Plus your testing there understanding art which isn’t different service to service

Doing the dominos is easy if you have the key to the way. When you finish a section or when it is to a size you can quickly recover from, leave space between the up dominos and the new ones. Then, the person who feels the steadiest can finish the area. Work from the inside out too.
What the heck are these producers doing to these poor canvases. Ug one tattoo can be a lot for even highest pain tolerances depending on placement. Were there really no other twins in the world?
It all comes down to who the artist is and what you’re getting... like if the tattoo has sentimental meaning to you then odds are you’re going to love it more (if done by a great artist) like my sister got a tattoo of our dog on her arm and she loves it/ it looks great.... but really if your heart isn’t in it for the tattoo then don’t get it.

I would beat myself up over every little shaky outline or blowout etc. I see tattoos from friends having those small imperfections and I can‘t even bare those tattoos. And obviously a better artists would do more precise work, but you can always nitpick even on highest level. Once you see the shaky outline or whatever you can‘t unsee it.
Ink Master isn't a good representation of tattooing to be honest. There will never be a situation where your tattoo is being done under immense time pressure like this. You'll have weeks or months in advance to discuss and perfect a design with your artist. If it takes longer than you realized, then they'll postpone finishing it to make sure they can give it the attention it needs. You'll also be able to research your artist and find someone whose bread and butter fits your wants. The master artists on this show aren't performing at their best because they're being forced into styles they aren't comfortable or experienced with. The pressure of the whole thing also stresses them the hell out and they're more likely to make silly mistakes they normally wouldn't. It's all for TV.

I've always never understood the hate on the non tattoo challenges, no offense but if you think the not tattoos are bad you know nothing about being an artist or tattoo artist. Bruh being good at art is half of tattooing lol what, and it's always a flash challenge not an elimination challenge? I just don't get the hate.

The way I see it gia had technical issues but bone face was just a terrible artist. As in his designs were just not that great.
