Modifying the Redcat Machete 6s! An easy must do modification!
We changed the center diff oil and went up 3 teeth on the pinion gear!
Now the truck will do half a backflip lol.
    I purchased the truck here!

Cool, I just installed an 18t pinion with default spur. Testing tomorrow. Thx for the video!

With those hobbywing RTR escs it has a delay between reverse or usually you need to hit it twice. Essentially it's running forward and brake with the reverse and then you kind of need to engage the reverse. I think it's a feature to prevent new/younger owners from having it flying back in reverse alot and then slamming the gas lol. I believe that's how it's set up if you play with it. Kinda gotta tap reverse on and off twice on trigger quick and it engages. You will get used to it pretty quick. Try it out next run. Also maybe try putting 500k in front and 200k In rear. It's 100k stock but might also be because they are a little low too. 👍🏻

Gret pointers, why in the world did they leave a hollow spot in the center of the control arm?
Good patch job, put lots of CA glue to! You did get good bashing before it broke.

Nice run, good looking truck i have the shredder. Looks like a big upgrade. I'd definitely get some different batteries. I have one of those and it sucks. Not true to the man or c rate.

Only thing about the machete is that it does not allow you to upgrade to a slightly larger 1650kv motor. I put one in my Mojave and noticed a huge torque difference with about the same speed

Did you have any problems with the differentials before you mess with them

I believe that screw is probably 1.5mm hex which would make more sense as I've had other trucks have some screws in 1.5mm. I'm just mentioning it for people who might be thinking they have to buy a .050 hex when I believe that 1.3mm and that .2mm is almost like a hair thickness. I just think in the rc hobby 1.5mm is more common wrench on hand so I'm wondering if 1.5mm would work as well?? Just curious. Cause I've never come across a .050 hex head in my time. Just would seem like a odd selection instead of the more common 1.5mm who I'm guessing alot have on hand. Are they pretty much the same? I'm just not familiar with it. Also I'd recommend getting some of the deep hex head screws for your motor instead of those flat ones they use and arrma uses as well. When using blue loctite if they strip which they will very easily creates a massive headache. Those thick, deep head hex screws work best and worth swapping asap for sure 👌🏼

A 1.5 will not fit. .05 is smaller than 1.5. I think they should have used a 1.5 but they didn’t

I would turn the punch 7 and change brake back to stock. And check the shock fluid.

50% is stock and I’ll pull the shocks and see how much fluid is in there. Thanks for checking out the video

Yeah I try to never go up to full punch level just to be safe. Unless it's a super strong, beefy rig.

Do it! Why? Because this is the most durable rig of all my rigs!!!
I never been able to trash bash rc so bad as this and its awesome. I managed to bent one CV and i broke body mount and thats all because i hit concrete cube while landing from 15m up in the air.
My xmaxx dont survive half of this shit i do with machete💯‼️
