After watching this, Mo’Nique gained me as a fan. She spoke so eloquently, never got angry, and never bashed anyone. It’s takes a strong person that has been through so much and treated unfairly to sit there and speak without tearing the other person down. In today’s world, it seems like people don’t like the truth and she speaks nothing but honesty.
It’s crazy how people bash Mo’Nique about having her husband around, especially with how the industry has been exposed as of lately. When a man and woman get married, they become one! Once Wendy Williams was divorced from her husband, people were able to take advantage of her, and look at the state she is in now. People will judge whether you do right or wrong.

@@anti__freestlye6709Exactly theses industries and companies say “never feel afraid to point out problems and make suggestions. we like feedback, it helps us grow…etc” But when you REALLY respectfully give it to them the get defensive and reject your statements no matter how accurate. I experienced this with my job violating labor laws and I brought it to their attention. They hate anyone with an voice. The response I got was “it’s always been this way and we give extra two vacation days that we don’t have to so..” basically deal with it.. i sent it to ethics and hr in an email so they had to research it & Adjust before they have an class action on their hands.

First off, I'm a white woman that lives in the sticks on 40 acres. I went away to college at 18 because I grew up in the same area that I currently live. I wanted to see people that were different than me. I got sick of looking at white farmers everyday and wanted to see what else and who else was out there. That was important to me. Eventually, I did move back to the same area to be close to family and raise my daughter. With having said all of that, up until I saw Katt's interview, I hadn't realized how blissfully unaware I was that these types of things are still a large part of the American culture, and it makes me sad. I knew that certain people existed that didn't see equality like everyone should, however I had no idea that entire organizations and societal constructs, still had such a sickening and unfair hierarchy. Mo'Nique seems like a beautiful woman, both inside and out, and for what it is worth, I feel that irregardless of someone's race, that she is someone that we as woman can look up to and strive to be like. Not only is she fierce, but she is also strong, comfortable in her own skin, and absolutely knows her worth. I admire all of this in her, and I pray that all of these other people that have taken her for granted will open their eyes and see her worth.

I'm so late to watch this amazing woman's interview. First, Mo'Nique is so stunning, both inside and out. I'm so happy that she was able to share her story, her truth. I didn't have any idea she and her family had suffered so much. She deserves the absolute world. Sending so much love to her and her family. 🥰
P.S. EFF Oprah! I used to adore her as a child. I'm 50 years old and fell out of admiration for her when I was 19 years old. She changed, was no longer the empathetic person I once saw.

I owe Mo'Nique an apology. I too was a bit bothered by her demands from Netflix and turned off by her seemingly always "hovering" husband and calling him "daddy" in interviews felt a bit forced to me and at the time i thought all of it was disingenuous. But with this interview and others, plus over time i realize how wrong I was and wish nothing but the best for her and her family. Hopefully she receives an open apology along with the compensation she deserves.
You did it, y can’t they apologize publicly and financially. It is sad but forgiveness belongs to everyone.

I met you, and you were down to earth and you looked me in the eyes when I spoke to you. I was the account manager for your promoter; I'm sure you forgot, but I'll never forget how warm you were. ❤
Her steadfast ways of being an advocate for what she believes in was just the cherry on top. She has always been a beautiful, sassy actress and comedian, who anyone on top should have held on to. Many times, fisherman can miss out on pearls because they're looking for clams instead of oysters. Oh, I can only imagine the talent, and the level of entertainment that we've missed out on. Thank you for having the capacity to withstand the pressure! Some may not personally like you, but others darned sure love you from a far! I'm excited to see you overcome and show up on top as you should! ❤
