I agree I grew up with the ac series till this came out been on it 24/7 hella forgot about Valhalla though I still love the series I find myself enjoying this more💯🔥
The really sweet thing is that xou can catch any bolder thrown at you with Herculean power and throw them back. Especially in high places in makes you near invincible and gives you an unlimited amount of ammunition, since those type of enemies usually can create the projectiles if they are not lying around anymore.
Does anyone else feel like it has, in a small way, a similar feel to kingdoms of Amalur? Maybe it’s just me, I’m not sure what it is either. Maybe the fight mechanics.
Really love your videos, you aleays give a nice concise overview of just what i want to hear about an rpg and your longer reviews have definetly lead me toward some great games! Havent gone wrong following your advice yet!
Another tip on the combo meter for those unaware, if you equip gear that gives you added combo meter points, then that meter will FILL UP QUICKLY. I used to neglect this, but then equipped something that gave me +12 combo when I did a specific action and it is BRUTAL
Nice! It's great to have some actual USEFUL tips. All the other "tip" videos for this game are like: "make potions. use potions. don't forget to attack the enemies." LOL
@@logann001 I might have missed it. I'm not sure since it's been so long from when I watched the video. However, since you did not provide a timestamp, I will proclaim you are a heretic that is spewing lies!
Does any1 know the mechanics behind the combo bar? Can't find the info anywhere. Like how many hits per stage, how many stages and how much damage each adds?
If I would have to choose, I would go with Valhalla. Mainly because I prefer that game style, over Fenyx Rising. But I'm having a blast with Fenyx Rising, no doubt about that. I have some problems with the game as well, but nothing major so far.
I'm about right on the fence on wether or not to buy this game. Looking forward to your final review. I have Valhalla to finish first still so that where my focus is now. Just listening to your first video on this almost had me go back and buy Outward again as I traded it before the expansion came out. Keep up the good work.
Dang outward is such a good game man. Prolly picking it up again. Also I highly recommend you to buy the uplay gamepass and play it for a month. I'm sure more than a month of game content will immortals not provide
I personally think this game is more fun than valhalla. I got bored of valhalla. Just sta this one this morning and it seems really fun. The combat is really pretty and there's tons of humor in the game.
@@LunaTrooper good point - I'm 10 hours in and loving the gameplay loop - this game is a fair bit better than I expected, and it looks really really nice
@@LunaTrooper lol. Uhm, no. Most games are fuckin boring in the early hours. Im 43 hours into immortals and its STILL more fun than valhalla. Even though it feels like a assassin's creed game. It's only to feed me until Cyberpunk.
When you play on hard does it just give enemies more health and they do more damage or do they change attacks and/or attack patterns? If it´s just more health I think I will play on normal instead, usually get tired if enemies are too "spongy".
this game running well on pc? for me it isn't running very well at all, i7 7700k, gtx 1660ti 32 gig ram, even at 1080p fps is all over the place and dips below 60 a lot
hey friend, that rig should definitely be able to run it - make sure you've got your drivers updated, then try undervolting your CPU using throttlestop (specifically for your 7700k, type your CPU and throttlestop into youtube) - I've found this game is very cpu heavy, I was getting up around 95 degrees with my i7 9750h, then I tried the undervolt and now I'm down around 80 degrees. Also, maybe look up a few guides on how to optimise the graphics options, I found I run everything around medium with textures on high, still looks great, and it only dips below 60 fps during wicked combos which is fine hope it helps you! I was sad when I thought my laptop wouldn't run this game at 60fps, but it's going well - does seem to be very CPU heavy mind you, good luck
Hope I'm not too late to the party. There's a setting in-game that causes this problem. Under display there is "FPS Limit" with a bar. Click to turn that on then set the bar to whatever you think your system can adequately handle. Sadly the highest the bar can go to is 90 FPS (whereas my set-up can go up to 144fps) but the cap prevents the game from trying to spike the fps to absurd numbers which causes performance issues. I had previously adjusted textures/shadows/environments/effects/etc. and nothing was improving my performance that much. Then after the fps limit, I was able to put everything back to ultra high again. You can monitor your performance in-game as well. Just have to hit F3 (I changed the key to F1 so can't remember which F it was before). Anyhow, hope all that helps!
@@nicholaskinkaid Thank you for this information. I have since upgraded to an 3080 and an i9 10850k haha so running any game really isn't an issue anymore. I hope your comment can help someone else out tho thank you.
Only tip you need to know: DO NOT PLAY VAULTS!!! They are boring, hard, frustrating and they will ruin the game for you. You do not get anything useful in vaults. Only thing you get is zeus lightning for stamina but you do not need it that much. You can get zeus lightning on other locations. Complete the main story, complete chests, ambrosia, constelations and hidden quests. If you want trophies then return to vaults after you complete everything.
This is a bad tip that is only made worse by you saying "only tip you need to know". Stamina makes adventuring/sprinting/fighting a lot easier by allowing you to do more and fly/swim/climb longer. There are also chest in the vaults that will grant you an item. And some vaults also contain additional quest items like a tear of Aphrodite. Also the vaults can become fast travel points, allowing you way more fast travel locations on the map. Vaults are (for the most part) puzzle encounters. Which means vaults are essentially Shrines from breath of the wild. And you are essentially saying shrines in BotW are a waste of time. Horrible advice.
@@nicholaskinkaid you don't need that much stamina, trust me i completed 100% without full stamina. I only completed stamina bars in order to get the trophy.
@@ninomiskulin9286 good to know, I hated the vaults and stopped gaming a while, I really hated them, they ruined a perfect game for me..well, now I can load it again I start to play! You saved this game for me, Thankyou!!!!
