Picked up my first Olds, a '58 Ambassador, to get back into horn playing after a decades-long absence..... Great brand!! 🎺

I have a 49 in about the same condition and I didn’t like it at first. The more I play it the more I love it.

In 62 a lot of us wanted a CONN Connstellation, but this horn should have been at the top of our list. Great tonal quality throughout the range. Thanks for exercising this oldy.

I owned one of these, though not as fine an example as this. They really, really zing upstairs. Like holy god, great horn.

Interesting combination of compactness and lots of overtones - perhaps the bell construction.

It might be time to kick the Adams and the Shew recently compared to the curb. Really nice sound with this one.

Friggin' wow! What a sound! Chet Baker reborn. Thanks Trent. How did the upper range feel compared to a modern horn?
