- Architecture studio Populous has revealed its design for the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya, Saudi Arabia, which is a proposed 2034 World Cup venue.
Named after Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, the stadium in the Qiddiya entertainment district will have a retractable roof and pitch.
One side of the stadium will be a large, retractable LED wall, which will be used to broadcast live events, films and laser shows. When retracted, it will reveal an opening that allows the pitch's three-sided seating to overlook the 200-metre-high Tuwaiq cliff that the stadium is perched upon.

Alright, so Tron's coming to life.
MBS = CLU or Rinzler?
Love it
This is entertainment of the future.
Looks great. Hopefully it will be built
Knew when Qatar built a stadium like the Tent the Saudi's would try to top them and then some, it's a pride in that region that Saudi's don't look anything but mighty VS. their small neighbors, and we all benefit as sports fans, and as for me a Sports venues fan... Good stuff! 💪🏻👏🏻
cool

God bless the kingdom 🙏 ♥️

Nice to see all these developments in oppressive monarchies. To be fair, that’s where many of our nicest buildings come from. And, hey, at least all the women there (who aren’t wealthy foreign tourists) will be legally required to have a male guardian. Progress!
Italian renaissance stuff was from aristocrats+nobility, not monarchs
No longer a law for women to have a male gaurdien following them around btw
One question and I’m highly serious. Do you live in a cave?
"oppressive"

Pointless and decontextualised design.
That's the point. Loool
😂
I see ksa waste of environment and abuse of tribes, I dislike. I see renderite without this context, I appreciate aesthetic. Ksa renderite is good rage bait for dezeen
Cry harder😂😂😂
Where are you from?
@@thesaudiman2108
Yeah, it sucks how tribes are being displaced and the environment is getting ruined just so these doomed projects can be started and then abandoned.
Honestly, it looks awful.
My thought exactly. I'm all for technology but this was so jarring that to me, it would detract from the experience of watching soccer.
@@AC-qj1ou it's garish. The Sofi, Mercedes-Benz, At&t, and the upcoming Intuit dome are arenas with pretty crazy screens, but they actually enhance the experience. This just seems like it's too much visual noise with little rhyme or reason.
Your not ready for the future.
@@Sha_Mone
If by "The Future," you mean terrible and garish designs, then yes, I am not.
