Rion, thanks for the video! I spent two nights in Akihabara on my last trip. First night was just to explore, and the second night, I came back to check out one of the Yellow Submarine stores. I wanted to pick up a few board games that aren't available in the U.S. I won a Snorlax plushie at one of those Taito or GIGOs in Akihabara and that was a pain in the butt to get home. The vacuum sealing machine for plushies isn't a common thing in Japanese arcades... Ugh.
YESSS. first here. creating resources for class so I am watching your videos at the same to help me stay updated before I travel later in the year. Keep up the great work. And yes on I joined your Instagram :) hi from New Zealand
You passed by one of my favourite haunts in the Asakusa underground. Trust me when I say this, “ninja sake bar” is hopping on the weekends and so are the rest of the places down there. It is always a mix of travellers and locals getting past language barriers with lots of sake. Also, you passed by an awesome standing whiskey bar in Ameyoko. Fun!!!
As always your awesome video never fails to make my day! 😊 I always enjoy exploring Japan with you. So sad to think that I won't be able to visit there this year due to my sister's health condition, and need to cancel our trip.😢
In my experience I always find trash can at the konbini. When I go to get a snack or drink I will use the trash can inside. Watching all your videos to prepare for my trip next month!
Many thanks for this video, enjoy the Asakusa walk and enjoying the familiar spots. Look forward to see Nikko video in winter
New video to brighten my day. Lovin' it!

Very timely. We're in Tokyo now and thinking of visiting Akihabara later today. Thanks for the tips!
