Man, its pretty wild hearing J's emotional stuff. Its crazy how so many people made J and Shags the enemy when in reality, they're both really beautiful people. J is way deeper than most folks care to understand.
Yeah unfortunately people will always make you out to be the bad guy just for swinging back one time vs the one thousand times they've constantly hit you without you doing anything back to them. A lot of pussified people in this world that love to dish it but can't take it
@DravenZord shaggy was in the works of writing his book but hasn't really had anyone to type it down for him he streams on twitch. The shaggy show he always answers these questions I guess J is trying to get a 2nd book done about the years after the 6th dropped

Even though violent j didn’t want to seem like a “whoa is me” story, I can’t help but get watery eyes learning about how much J Experienced trauma and trying so hard to distract his own mind with the beauty of the world around him. It’s really upsetting but I can’t help but realize ICP has one of the most EPIC stories EVER.
Yeah he tries to act like a hardass and he is an actual hardass with what he went through but he has a sensitive empathetic side too. He has a true artist’s mind. Even that butterfly story makes me tear up. That’s a really empathetic and sweet thing for a 4 year to do. When I was 4 I was still torturing bugs for fun because I didn’t understand empathy yet and didn’t realize bugs were sentient but him and his brother had some serious emotional intelligence. I also teared when he said he was more worried about his brother and sister getting molested than himself. That’s a sweet selfless kid right there.
That butterfly story had me ready to change my whole damn life. But seriously, that touch of reverb on his voice makes it sound like he’s talking too loud in church 😂

I’m not a huge ICP fan , im 44 now I was a big fan back in 95 I loved the tunnel of love album and carnival of carnage . But I’ve always respected everything they have done
I got through the entire book & I've thought about some of these stories so much, I'm revisiting the book already. Stories like The Road or Joey's constant stealing to survive. It actually seems like Joey was such a talented thief, he'd be making just as much or more money than the rest with actual jobs. That's a lot of pluckin'! The story of J getting jumped & stabbed by a group of Rastas is fucking insane. I love the one where Rob got jumped when they were kids. So in response, Joe & company terrorized this fucker for months, years even. How they figured out the kid's schedule & jumped him in class in all black hoodies is a picture I need to see on screen. I thought that was such a great story of brotherly love & undying support. There's the story of Joe getting his nose broken off his face by a security guard & he gets knocked out IN FRONT of his girl. To put that in perspective & it may sound silly, but people kill themselves these days out of sheer embarrassment or shame after an incident like that. Joe shared that shit & is proud of it! Takes a mentally strong cat to dust yourself off from that & move on like a man. Billy & J getting shot at while promoting is crazy. Even the thought of 3 kids being locked outside in the dirt filled backyard. And when they're not locked outside, they're getting sexually assaulted inside the house. I actually find the Kinko's & promoting shit some of the most fascinating of the whole story. A mother fucker can do all this from a phone nowadays. The commitment & endless hours Joe & Joey must've spent together not just recording, but promoting. The real story is the journey. And the journey was so beautiful & magical, we created this Dark Carnival & Juggalo thing together along the way.
@@alambert1421lol man the book is 21 years old and the audio version here is 8 years old. This cat has left a deep, heartfelt comment about the stories in the book and you’re just reading through the whole wedge and then complaining about spoilers? Gtf outta here lol

@1:19:00 When i read this book for the 1st time, a week after it was released, all the pieces fell into place. All the details of their lyrics are explained. "Ever since Picker Forrest started, been hatchetly retarded..."
Anyone who says Violent J has no talent has clearly never heard him tell a story. Dude is an amazing storyteller, and thats not something just any old person can do. Even his lyrics, more often than not, tend to tell a story. And frankly, I'd rather listen to simple, old school style rhymes that invoke a setting and tell a story than a bunch of chopper rhymes that are so fast and complex I can barely make out what they're saying....
Mike Olson got fricked up! Thats why you dont frick with FAMILY. WHOOP WHOOP MMFWCL! JUGGALO FAMILY!! Great book. Already read it but hearing it is frickin awesome! MMFWCL

They were like the Rapping Jerky Boys lol damn I’m getting old 😂 but I never even knew this existed so this is my Xmas present at work tomorrow morning 💯💯
Their dreads were mostly all extensions. From before recording Riddlebox they had the length of hair for like worm-length and thickness dreadlocks. By Milenko which wasn’t enough years later, they both had deep, thick, long dreadlocks that were obviously attachments to their real hair
@@mikevicchiarelli2369 That makes sense. I saw them on the Bizzar Bizzar tour where J had short hair and was also at the 01 Gathering less than a year later and J had dreadlock hair down past his shoulders. Knew those were fake.
@K12machinima it's wild af. Tbh I haven't been much around the juggalo world in a long time. Never stopped loving the music but I keep my circle small. My best friends for almost 30 years all juggalos they are like brothers. I have so many memories hitting up Hallowicked in 02-05 showing up in Detroit without tickets or a money and hustling my way into the shows, food all that. Seems like maybe 6 or 7 years have past!
@ Ha, yeah, I feel that. I’m the definition of metal, but am most-definitely a Juggalo, secondly. I got into ICP in middle-school, so long ago, and followed them up to 2012, when I graduated. I dated a girl who refused to let me listen to them, or wear any merch, and by that time, my high school had banned Psychopathic merch during the “gang” accusations. It sucked, man, but all my Juggalo friends were still tight after that - they also got me into Twiztid, ABK, Boondox, Kottonmouth Kings, Tech, Dark Lotus - you pry know the drill, ha. It sucked, because one of my friends after high school, like, a year after we all graduated, he died in a military accident, and it shattered my heart, man, and I couldn’t listen to anything Psychopathic for a long time, because he was the initial guy who got me into it all. Him and his brother were 2 of the nicest, most sincere, and real people I’ve ever met - being Juggalos was just a bonus, ha. There’s really something I lost when my friend died, though, but ICP still makes me remember all those good times we had - Jay points out towards the end, about The Wraith, and how defining music is to the youth, and I almost cried, because it’s so true, man… that’s my favorite album of ICP’s, forever, because of that friend… Sorry if it bored you, man, but this was all over 20 years ago for me, and I can’t believe it sometimes.
I no lie just told my 9 year old son about mofos ghost riding my bike over and over and my dad spazzing on me like I fucked up my bike. When I said I had it ganked he just said don’t let other people use it. “I didn’t let anyone use it!” By the time I’d get this far into the bitching at I couldn’t say anything right and we’re about to graduate to the physical part of my punishment for being bullied. On one hand I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who had this happen to them but on the other I know how bad that could get. My shit was I’d catch a beating in school but I was getting tougher so I started winning fights even tho I was smaller. But then I got in trouble so no matter how the fishy in school went I was definitely losing beat down that awaited me as soon as I got home. I tried not fighting back in school but then I was a bigger target. I throw a punch and bloody a kid up I’m beat at home. Fun times. I’m just happy to tell my boys that shit will never happen to them. He got picked on twice in school. I gathered FACTS and essentially green lighted those two kids. I told my son if I get a call you will not be in trouble. Idk what happened nobody picks on my boys.
Kid Rock didn't start that country shit until after his 2nd album the polyfuze method When ICP was dealing with him in 89 and 90 he had that pimp of the nation gimmick with a high top fade, not coming out on tractors
Kid Rock would open his shows in 90-91 with 'Yodelin in the Valley,' which he would come out on stage in either a tractor or a riding mower, with the hightop fade. Mike E Clark actually used to drive the tractor that Rock would be sitting on. One could argue that the country persona grew out of that.

Spoilers…

He's a very underrated storyteller. His stories in his songs are compelling and comedic.
They should write a song about “the road”
Mike Olson got fricked up! Thats why you dont frick with FAMILY. WHOOP WHOOP MMFWCL! JUGGALO FAMILY!! Great book. Already read it but hearing it is frickin awesome! MMFWCL

Kids used to talk shi cuz I was a black kid rockin ICP 😂 being from Southwest made it feel natural and their CD’s felt like audio comicbooks, music was so much more fun back then. They were like the Rapping Jerky Boys lol damn I’m getting old 😂 but I never even knew this existed so this is my Xmas present at work tomorrow morning 💯💯
Two scoops of whoop for ya, bruv! Appreciate ya!
Mad respect for doing this omg yes
The wildest thing about this book to me is realizing that Shaggy must have had fake dreads all throughout the Milenko era.
@@michaelgilman7930had to be , J had really thin hair
😢 damn… i actually cried for a sec…
Hell yea, dude. This isn't available on Google books (what I use to buy audiobooks) so this is so awesome. Thank you.
Karen if you are out there thanx for their support!
I cant beleive its been more than 20 years. It genuinely confuses me. Idk where time has gone.
That’s life, man, it goes by too quick. Just have to hold onto every day. :)
There’s really something I lost when my friend died, though, but ICP still makes me remember all those good times we had - Jay points out towards the end, about The Wraith, and how defining music is to the youth, and I almost cried, because it’s so true, man… that’s my favorite album of ICP’s, forever, because of that friend…
Sorry if it bored you, man, but this was all over 20 years ago for me, and I can’t believe it sometimes.
I don't think Ive ever heard an audiobook read out in one giant sentence before lol. I mean it worked but it's so odd.
Bro thank you so much for this much love!!
Anyone else notice that violent j's face paint looks like an inkblot test of a butterfly.
Symbols are all around you.
Remember the butterfly. Violent J talking about catching one in a jar
Crazy ass stories bruh good teller too
Thanks Ninja for the upload this is 🔥🃏🪓🤡
I no lie just told my 9 year old son about mofos ghost riding my bike over and over and my dad spazzing on me like I fucked up my bike.
Sounds like a living cartoon
1:56:57 😂😂😂 he just goes on and on and on 😂😂😂😂
This is fkn incredible, thanks for the upload boss
Where in Michigan is this road and what's it called?
What road?

Kid Rock didn't start that country shit until after his 2nd album the polyfuze method
When ICP was dealing with him in 89 and 90 he had that pimp of the nation gimmick with a high top fade, not coming out on tractors
