The reasons why netizens on many social media platforms are making this viral is the entity Omar Abdullah swears his allegiance to. Here is a look why....in 2009 he says "I, Omar Abdullah, swear in the name of god that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the constitution of state as by law established," where as the other part of the clip from 2024 or the recent ceremony sees him saying "I, Omar Abdullah, swear in the name of god that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the constitution of India as by law establish..."

You might be representing an institution created by them.
A country as big and diverse as india should have a single constitution as it is now. With different constitution for states would pave the way for breaking away on religious lines as happened in the past or would pave the way for foreign interference quoting provisions in the constitution.

@@pakoochavo8696 you need to study about Indian constitution first India is not a federal state, it is termed as quasi federal state that means all power lies within parliament states are just created for better administration and management.states don't have their own constitution,flag,military etc. there is difference between federal and quasi federal, federal means states combinely creates nation,eg-usa but in India states don't created india india created states, Jammu Kashmir was only a temporary solution not permanent. Many enlightened people form all over india created it. The more you read about constitution more you will become fan of them.

You moron, federal structure does not mean different constitution. Federal structure allows states to govern themselves in accordance to state laws for domestic problems(which india does). But it does not mean they have their own constitution. If they have their own constitution, they can even change the fundamental laws and idea of nation and its territorial integrity.

My man, federal structure does not mean different constitution. Federal structure allows state to govern themselves in accordance to state laws for domestic affairs (which india does). But having a separate constitution is totally different for india. Here in kashmir with so much violent history and separistsm having a different constitution undermines the idea of our nation and its territorial integrity.

I think it's because when article 370 was in effect the state of J&K received no investments and development due to terrorist activities.
But now since 370 is dead it made the region to be under the control of union Government and they took measures to eliminate terrorist activities. This also lead to many developemental projects. Omar should have noticed that the state is developing after revoking 370 and decided to go along so that he could say that the development is due to him being CM and hence could remain in power.
