Perfect Timing for this video ... first time mine started laying eggs in community tank so I separated them in breeding setup ... it's almost 1 week now but both seem so much scared ..eating very less and sticking to back side glass of aquarium... still female laid eggs on breeding cone 2 days back ..but all eggs turned white within 12 -16 hours ... suggestions plss ..
Thank you for the content! I'd like to know when you can return the pair to the main tank in my case. They were bullying the others so I separated them but at what point can I return them? I have discus ranging from 2.5 inches to about 5 inches so i'm letting the small ones grow out a bit for now.
@@FwrapperAqua thanks for the response. Does that mean they can never return to the same tank again? If you're not breeding them it becomes a problem as when they're adults you will most likely have a pair at some point and then what? Is it normal to just keep them separate forever?
@@dewaldolivier3216 The thing is it's natural for everything to breed.. So when the environment is right they will try to breed.. But when others are involved they will fight and not allow any one to there side.. So if we have a big size tank.. Then they have their space.. If not they will fight with others or the others will fight with them... If not you can keep a partition in the tank and keep them in the main tank
Hello Rahul Sir, Thank you for sharing the valuable information. Actually wanted to know that the community tank you have is with RO water or conditioned TAP water? What is the TDS in the community tank?
Hi, nice video. I have a breeding pair of discus they get the fry to attach and they grow well but after 3 weeks. The fry start to die off why is that? Can you do a video on how to care for the fry after they have left the parents. Thank you
Would recommend to wait and watch. Place a breeding cone in the community tank itself. Let them start their activity.even you can understand male and female..this will build up their natural egg defensive instincts. Was just a small suggestion.👍
Like I mentioned in the video also.. They actually layed eggs a couple of times on the filter pipe... After that only I created a tank for them and shifted them...
Sir i have purchased one dozen at the age of 5 months now they r two yrs old size up to 4 inches I have feed them tetra bits and live food all r healthy and fighting with each others but till no any single pair detected plz give some suggestions 🙏

If the pair is still together.. Let them be separate... They will fight with the others
